Obama Apologizes to Europe for US Arrogance in Liberating Their Asses on Numerous Occasions »

Obama's speech.........Pitiful, weak, uninspiring, misguided, dangerous, brown-nosey, self-loathing abused-spouse syndrome and the epitome of servility and Nerf-diplomacy poorly disguised as grandiose world leadership:

John Bolton Troubled By "Thoughts Rambling Inside The Presidential Brain" (Video)

    http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/04/john-bol...

"If these are the thoughts rambling around inside the presidential brain that's guiding our foreign policy, I'm very troubled by this. This is somebody who does not have a very basic grounding in not just contemporary history but history of the relationship between the United States and Europe over a long period of time."

    Former Ambassador John Bolton
On Barack Obama's apology to Europe

Leadership: Sixty-one years to the day after Truman signed the Marshall Plan rebuilding war-torn Europe, President Obama apologizes to French youth for U.S. arrogance. Our defense of freedom is no shame.

    FTA

It's Europe that has things to learn from America, not vice versa.

Europe can learn that with an injection of U.S.-style market competition, French patients need not wait month-upon-month for heart bypass surgery. They can learn that Iran is a clear and present danger requiring force from a united free world, not talk.

While they're at it, they might also learn to express some gratitude for the $13 billion American taxpayers shelled out during the post-war years (over $100 billion in current dollars) to rebuild their countries — after the U.S. came to their rescue during the war itself, spilling the blood of hundreds of thousands to defeat Hitler.

The United States of America is the world's lone superpower — unless and until we choose to relinquish that responsibility.

The last thing our sometime friends and allies across the pond need is a U.S. president bemoaning America's role in the world and serving as an echo chamber to those in Europe who would like to see us weakened or irrelevant.

seems even the NY TIMES is starting to have certain misgivings of Obama's handling of world politics

NYT: This diplomacy dance with Iran isn’t really working out, is it?

    http://hotair.com/archives/2009/04/06/nyt-this-dip...

They’ve got a crazy hunch that Iran’s just jerking us around to buy time. The obvious solution: More diplomacy.

After 30 years of mutual isolation, we fully support Mr. Obama’s constructive tone and efforts to engage the mullah-led government. But we wonder whether this incremental, seemingly ad hoc approach is best…

As I said elsewhere , Grandiose ideas in an imperfect world. Following in Jimmy Carter's footsteps.

I can't see any change that is an improvement on the past, and hope is a bunch of meaningless rhetoric.

President Obama's actions are extremely embarressing and ignorant. It would be more tolerable if he would quit attacking our country. Basically, this is sheer stupidity.

You right wing cowards are displaying extream hatred for this country and its Political system. Obama is cleaning up your right wing mess, left after 8 years of tyrany from the super rich you voted for.

Imaging the idiots on display here on right wing propeller, 4 months ago, casting their ballots for Caribu Barbie to lead the military. Thankfully, america is not as stupid as you all are. Collectively and individually, what is left of the right wing are traitors, putting your petty egos and party politics ahead of what's best for the country each day.

This is again just more right wing tripe. The last thing we need to be doing is running around rubbing something that we did 60 years ago in everybody's face. How often do you hear the French reminding us that they helped us during the Revolutionary war?

He doesn't seem to grasp what the role of the President should be. He seems to think he will in dear us to the rest of the world by playing the apologizer.

It's as though he, like Michelle, has never been proud of his country until now.

We don't owe the world an apology. Quit running us down.

Leadership and Obama are an oxymoron. He went, he whined and apologized everywhere to everyone but gained none of the things he supposedly wanted from the G20 nations prior to his trip. It appears that Obama is the rock star of world leaders but when it comes to governing and decision making the other 19 nations of the G20 said, "thanks but no thanks."

Like tchef says, how often do you see the French reminding us about the big assist they gave us during the Revolutionary War or the Russians reminding us that they sacked Berlin and took down Hitler?

3 years ago my neighbor found my lost cat and returned her to me. Last week he took a **** in the middle of my living room rug. I guess he doesn't owe me an apology for the rug, because he saved my cat.

I think Obamas first european tour as president was somewhat of a roller coaster. It cannot be called a successful trip nor a catastrophy. He himself and wife are personally well liked through out europe. His financial agenda is not. Now this is for several reasons.

      1. Europeans are very much anti war after having 2 world wars fought on their soil. Also there is a much bigger security problem with Islamic terrorist in Europe than in the US. Their are to many boarders. They do not have the luxary of having an ocean on both sides.

      2. With the Euro and the european bank, they have decided to take a much more conservative root to solving their problems. Personally I have to agree with them. When you have money problems its time to save and not spend. Through out Europe and especially Germany, who is the biggest export nation, they are having many of the problems we are having in the US. One good example is OPEL who is very much dependent on GM.

Hhusk, PC25, RedRiverJ and company sit in a basement lit by a single candle.
Through a boarded-up window comes the sounds of a deep voice speaking over laughter and applause. A huge party is going on next door.

Pc25: "Pitiful, weak, uninspiring, misguided, dangerous, brown-nosey, self-loathing,- " he snarls and smashes his fist into the wall.

Hhusk sneers: "They never make a comment without mongering hate."

RedRiver sighs: "He has embarrassed himself, degraded the office of the Presidency and probably hacked off half of America..."

Outside the window the cheers grow louder; a band begins playing 'Stars and Stripes Forever'.

Pc25 mutters "He has insulted the sacrifices of those Americans who sacrifices their lives in the defense of freedom for Europe. He has - " - but the roaring applause of a nation drowns out the rest of his words.

They sit there chewing their rage.
Their only light coming from a guttering candle.
After awhile it goes out, and they sit in the dark.

Outside in America, the party goes on.

I think that this President has a lot to learn and he needs to learn it quick! From protocol (we don't kneel or bow to other world leaders) to NOT apologizing for the United States of America. He is not campaigning...Does he not realize he's won? He also is dire need of a NON teleprompted speech in which he doesn't "uh" me to death, while still trying to get out his very mixed messages.

I have bent over backwards to be fair to him, but when I see the liberal loons "gushing" over the man to the point of making us all sick, I have to say that I am NOT impressed.

From the gifts to the horrid speaches, I'd say he has soooo much to learn.

IF GW had done ANY of this..and I mean ANY...Y'all would be all over him like an ant finding a cookie crumb!
