If we had universal single payer health care less the obscene HMOs, the regulation of Big pharma who cries if they don't make billions of dollars on over-the-counter drugs which remain prescription while on patent, the regulation of insurance companies who charge obscene insurance rates and the reduction of law suits, the US would pay less than half, as all the other civilized nations do, for health care
