Their history has been known all over the world since then. Oprah Winfrey filmed a devastated rundown of the situation there. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger “visited” the area as well and shook hands. This week, the township authorities made the decision to put an end to the adventure of Tent City, America’s shame.

Grew up In Brooklyn. Joined the Navy in 1976 stayed in 10 years. Aircraft Electronics tech. Worked for Major Govt. contractor then settled in California ...

Most of these homeless are there because ACLU and law changes forced the institutions that used to house them to let them go. While there re some that just lost jobs the vast majority are there because they do not function in society. They reject help from most places offering it. -

we have 47 million people without health insurance and millions more with pre existing conditions that cannot be covered.
over one half of all bankrupties in america are due to medical care costs.
america is becoming a country of haves and have nots but few see it happening. after all we have hope.
yet we spend trillions for our war machine to appease our national ego as a super power.
america is a failed state.
iraq and afghan will finish the job that vietnam started. vietnam was the beginning of the end for america as we knew it.
