Comments for Baracknophobia: Hannity, Bachmann, And Beck Terrified Of Obama - Video »
Posted By TimALoftis 8 months, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsJon Stewart took on people "speaking crazy to power last night." Rep. Michele Bachmann recently said that President Obama is going to put our children in reeducation camps, and Sean Hannity congratulated her for her crusade against tyranny. Stewart followed this clip up with a litany of moves the Bush administration made to reduce American freedom, transparency, and state's rights, and said the pair were confusing "tyranny" and "losing."
But that's not all: Andrew Breitbart went on Sean Hannity's show and blamed Obama for his kids' school using the term "Potato Day" instead of "St. Patrick's Day." Stewart pointed out that this request probably didn't come from Obama himself, and that Potato Day is much more offensive than St. Patrick's Day.

Hannity was so funny, saying "tyranny"...he's a laugh...I really think he could be a comedian...
And Stewart's right...the Republicans have to pace themselves....they're going to get awfully tired of talking this way for 8 (count 'em, eight!), long (ever waited for a 1/2 mile long train to pass that's going 2 mph?) years...
Get used to it, Republicans/conservatives...!-

"Who says that Obama is going to be re-elected for a second term? Is that not a bit presumptious on your part?"
Reply
Considering that the GOP is the same it was when they got their ass handed to them on a plate, if not getting consistantly worse and acting like little children.. It's not too presumptuous.

By succeeding you mean that you agree with the huge increase in government as well as the $2 trillion deficit plus this year and an ongoing $1 trillion deficit on into the future. If that does not scare you after the way you lambasted Bush about his miserly by comparison deficit then you have your head in the sand. Then he wants a carbon tax that will raise taxes on absolutely everyone. Companies will leave here and go to where the tax climate is better. I take it you are all gung ho about these things. Well they scare me because it puts our great great grandchildren into hock to pay for Obamas fantasy about how this country should be.

No we were hoping for economic recover would cost nothing and just start solving itself on its own, just like good old un-regulated capitalism is supposed to,.

Wake up Dorothy..This is a big mess!
Just close your eyes, click your heals and we'll still be a trillion $$ and 3-4 years from recovery..
OH, unless you believe the same people that were telling us for the last year and a half that everything is fine because we hadn't had 2 consecutive quarters where the GDP dropped..THAT takes 6 bad months in a row AND another 45 days to tabulate and announce it.
Still proud of the head in the sand Bush method or are you FINALLY willing to get your head out of the sand and come out here and help us solve this???

Actually the spending does scare me. I was hoping that the Republicans would put together an actual counter budget so we could work on some real compromise. You know something with some numbers in it and submitted some time before the day of the budget vote. But no, all they could do is grandstand. And yes I'll give you the fact that the Democrats aren't really trying to work work with the Republicans at all. Both sides are behaving badly. Obama has invited everyone to the table but the two parties just don't seem to want to work together. So now the Democrats in congress are just spending like their is no tomorrow, and the Republicans are just whining.

It is getting very dangerous in America. Perhaps it is time to ask whether those who finance violence are subject to arrest for treason.

Glenn Beck and the Rise of Fox News's Militia Media
.... "Go Kill Liberals!"
I wonder if Glenn Beck knows who Jim Adkisson is. Adkisson made headlines on July 28, 2008, when he brought his sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun into the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee, and, after whipping it out of a guitar case, opened fire on parishioners while a group of schoolchildren performed songs up by the altar. Adkisson killed two people and wounded several others.
Adkisson, a 58-year-old unemployed truck driver, brought 70 shotgun shells with him to the church and assumed he'd keep killing until the police arrived on the scene and shot him dead as well. Instead, some members of the congregation were able to wrestle him to the ground and hold him for police.
When investigators went to Adkisson's home in search of a motive, as well as evidence for the pending trial, they found copies of Savage's Liberalism is a Mental Disorder, Let Freedom Ring by Sean Hannity, and The O'Reilly Factor, by Fox News' Bill O'Reilly. They also came across what was supposed to have been Adkisson's suicide note: a handwritten, four-page manifesto explaining his murderous actions. The one-word answer for his deed? Hate. The three-word answer? He hated liberals.
The only way we can rid ourselves of this evil is kill them in the streets. Kill them where they gather. I'd like to encourage other like minded people to do what I've done. If life aint worth living anymore don't just Kill yourself. Do something for your Country before you go. Go Kill Liberals!...

They really do sound psychotically, clinically depressed,

but Hannity has had to elevate and maintain his obsession with Obama because if he let it go he'd have to admit he was on a bender since March 2008..
(once the 18 month "stop Hillary express" ended)
It's like he keeps drinking to prevent a hangover!
He's SUPPOSED to be a "fair and balanced" newsman..The only one who has used THAT term more than him in the last 2 years is O'Reilly, and at least Bill is only 88% skewed in fairness..
if you look at any of Hannity's past 100 programs (you can go back even further and it will still be evident) he has always thrown anti-Obama mutterings and snide re,marks into every program..No matter what the topic..(even the week Paulson was under fire in August) he's obsessed. But since the election and he can't cause much more harm he's as funny as hell! -

Sean Hannity is right. He knows what he's talking about. He doesn't sound like the brain dead drones U hear on CNN and NBC and the rest of the nazi liberal media. Of course U can't explain that too fast to the average nazi liberal. The information processes too slow due to the appalling arrogance and blatant stupidity they demonstrate daily.

Oh well.
The measure of a man, is not in who he hates;

You admire Mr. Hannity, and we will take our measure of you from that.
And to be fair, we should measure Mr. Hannity by those who admire him.
Ok; now I am not being nice. -

You know something? I can remember not so long ago when the Dems were frightened by the sitting president. There were lots and lots of things that were said my many many people on the left that sounded pretty crazy! Hmmmm. Isn't it funny when the shoe is on the other foot? The Dems had best get this out of their system as they face a certain landslide loss in the mid-term elections. Just keep it up, Obama. With each passing day, you certainly guarantee Republican gains in congress in 2010. Just think, what in the world will you do when you are unemployed in January 2013? Think about it.

Isn't it refreshing that we FINALLY have a President who IS thinking about it??
Reply
Thinking about what? What he will do when he isn't re-elected in 2012? I am not quite sure the point you try to make.
I don't neccessarily think that Bush was in that sort of denial. And, if you think so, just what do you think that he was denying?
As far as recent historic facts, I feel like I am fairly sharp. So, again, I am not quite certain on what you speak. It was Obama that is spending us into oblivion. It will be under Obama that we will prolong the current economic recession. It will be under Obama that our freedoms will become more and more restricted. It will be under Obama that every citizen's ability to earn a living will be diminished. Oh, but that is right. It is all Bush's fault. I remember.-

So you're complaining about actions Obama takes in his first 45 days in office,
Reply
after Bush did NOTHING to address the economic crisis until August when he quietly tried to get a "no strings attached" $700billion over a weekend because he feared the market would crash.?? Is THAT really what you're saying about Obama??
"Thinking about WHAT?" you ask?? have you seen his last 75 speeches and his 2 addresses to the nation???? (they were in English)...
THEY WERE ALL ABOUT THE ECONOMY....
" It was Obama that is spending us into oblivion"
What was Bush denying???
Are you kidding??? (how about the entire state of the economy??)
How about how outsourcing is good for our economy??
How about his definition that a recession only exists when we have two consecutive quarters when the GDP declines ..he said while millions were losing their jobs and homes..
How many more do you need??
I am afraid that with that question you are NOT an honest open-minded contributor here... 10 weeks in and ALREADY Bush's inactions and have been erased and Obama is now the culprit.?
All that without even giving him a chance to see what works??
So we can get out of this without spending?? Is THAT what you're saying??I
You actually own these comments???
"It will be under Obama that we will prolong the current economic recession."
But according to Bush we were never in a recession????
"It will be under Obama that our freedoms will become more and more restricted."
I don't know where this one applies but George Bush and Dick Cheney spent over 7 years to continually take away our rights to counsel, rights to privacy AND you are seriously saying that you see that happening NOW??Where the hell were you?
"It will be under Obama that every citizen's ability to earn a living will be diminished."
Are you related to Henny Penny???
Seriously!-

I guess if the majority of people in this country are as misguided as you seem to be, we are in a world of trouble! I suppose you need to government to run your life at every level. Not me, sir. WE DO NEED GOVERNMENT to stop the bleeding caused by rule

You really want more. You haven't had enough??
We NEED government to grow some balls and start enforcing the rules and taking leadership..If your abusing pals don't like it, that's not surprising.. What's your excuse?
The bad guys want MORE people like you yelling anti-government
rants that slow down regulation and let them keep doing what they did to harm us..You're a victim of propaganda.
I DO NOT read the NY Times, so please stop making stupid personal assumptions..
I feel sorry for you.. You have no patience, no open mind, and no tolerance for others and are telling ME to grow up and get educated?? "typical liberal" you called me?
Does the typical liberal oppose affirmative action, like I do??
Does the "typical liberal" support the death penalty like I do? I am an open-minded thinker, obviously you are not.
NO, NO..YOU are the TYPICAL name-calling bully who has nothing to show and whose ignorance is one of the main reasons why they could do this to our economy the past 5 years.

On both Mr. Obama's performance and policies, independents are starting to look more like Republicans. For example, the most recent Fox News poll (taken March 31 to April 1) found that Mr. Obama's job approval among independents has fallen to 52%, down nine points from the start of March and down 12 points from late January. Over the same period, the number of independents who disapprove of Mr. Obama's performance has doubled to 32% from 16%.
The same poll also found that 76% of independents worry that government will spend too much to help the economy; only 12% worry it will spend too little. Independents oppose Mr. Obama's proposed budget by a 55%-37% margin.
If independents continue looking more like Republicans, especially on deficits, spending and the economy, Mr. Obama and congressional Democrats could be in for a rough ride.

Corrupt mortage companies and banks who cheated people with bad loans under the Bush Administration are starting to talk to people & correct the bad loans they were permitted to extend under the Bush Administration.
Governor Arnold stepped out of the gym he was hanging around in, and had to submit a budget proposal accounting for every $ he was spending on his "buddies". Apparently, Arnie was giving kickbacks to State employees, whose practices are now under scrutiny & being investigated.
State employees who were abusing their power & harrassing small business owners under the Bush Admnistration, have suddenly stopped doing so.-

The Pew Research Center reported last week that President Barack Obama "has the most polarized early job approval of any president" since surveys began tracking this 40 years ago. The gap between Mr. Obama's approval rating among Democrats (88%) and Republicans (27%) is 61 points. This "approval gap" is 10 points bigger than George W. Bush's at this point in his presidency, despite Mr. Bush winning a bitterly contested election.

We don't yet know the price Democrats will pay for Mr. Obama's fiscal radicalism. But we do know that no presidential hopeful in our lifetime has made bipartisanship more central to his candidacy and few presidents have devoted as many eloquent words to its importance. Yet no president in the past 40 years has done more to polarize America so much, so quickly. Mr. Obama has not come close to living up to his own standards. It took him less than 11 weeks to achieve the very opposite of what he promised. That, in its own regrettable way, is quite an achievement.

the more people like Beck, Hannity and Bachman use these words, the crazier they sound, especially after their blind obedience during 8 years of Bush sh*tting all over the constitution, rolling back things like habeas corpus, the "legitimizing" of torture, and pushing ideas like the Unitary Executive Theory, which is an obvious move towards facism and about as unAmerican as you can get. -
