Actually, the Clinton's and Carters were some of the worst expresidents when it comes to the cheap shots. As to President Bush, I thought his handling of past and future presidents should serve as an example of how a White House should transition. When Bush 43 moved into the White House, it took several days to repair and bring things back to working order in the offices. There were over 100 key boards alone that had to be replaced. While funny on the surface, when you and I are paying for it, the joke was over. Total costs to taxpayers for the Clinton staffer's pranks was just under $2,000,000. That's a lot of money.

For Obama, Mr. Bush clearly laid out the plan that every courtesy should be shown and everything perfect. From everything we've heard that is the case. With President Obama's close connections with the press, had there been anything wrong, we would have heard about it. I hope that whomever is the next president, the transition reflects the Bush Transition Team and not the Clinton's. Any president faces monumental challenges, he or she doesn't need any distractions from stupid staff pranks.
