Religion Dispatches Spotlights Palin's Bold New Form of Christianity »

Posted By Spadecaller 7 months, 2 weeks ago in Religion

Sarah Palin's strange new Christianity is rapidly becoming the face of the new, globalizing Christian right with as many as 600 million Christians worldwide united in “spiritual warfare”. The radical movement’s fundamental goal is to establish worldly power through political control for the purpose of eradicating the earth of demons. Purification of the earth is their ultimate goal. Miracle healing and raising the dead are among the practices promoted at Sarah Palin’s key church, the Wasilla Assembly of God. With mainstream media’s comedic and facetious portrayal of Palin and her political aspirations, there is growing danger that Democrats could be blindsided in 2012.

Fighting Demons, Raising the Dead, Taking Over the World ..governing Alaska, raising a child with Down Syndrome ...
Sarah Palin is a busy woman and dangerous too.

Perhaps she should be taken more seriously...

Eradicating the earth of demons sounds like another form of cleansing. Who are these demons? Democrats? Liberals? Muslims?

Is invoking the name of God and using it as justification for "spiritual warfare" any different than a Jihad?

This is more reasons to stop the tax deduction system that is now making rich mega churches. They are not suppose to be a corporation. Most likely 10% of the money they receive go to the charities and the rest to the church and the minister. Like a corporate bonus, they will most likely get in on the bailout also. The tax deduction money that our religious industry gets could best have been spent on industry to provide work in America for Americans. Perhaps our ecomony would be in better shape today. That poor person would much rather have a job to feed, cloth and house their family with. The tax deduction system has kept the poor dependent, on the churches. As for demons and witches and such, I call that installing fear and fear in the human mind is a form of control by other men. I will go to a small church before I will go to a large church. That small church has a warmer welcome coming from the great maker. If they pull out rattle snakes and stuff that's when I leave.

The Mullah Nasrudin was once seen intently searching the ground in front of his house. Neighbors asked him, "mullah, what are you looking for?" Nasrudin said he was looking for the keys to his house. "Did you lose them here?" his neighbors asked. "No," replied the Mullah,"I lost them in my house, but the light is much better out here."

Similarly, Palin and her ilk seek to purge the world of devils because it is easier than purging themselves.

That Sara Palin is a trailer trash idiot is beyond doubt, with her family of trailer trash maleducated yet supreamly confident idiots there in the wasteland of america the stupid, the suprise is not that she's an idiot, the suprise is there are still so many psychopathically insane supporters willing to sign up for her cause.

America the stupid, where over 40% voted for Caribu Barbie to have the bomb, believing as she does in the Rapture. Where 40% of the earth's most inbred stupid morons voted to have Caribu Barbie run the economy.

The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results.

The religious immoral minority siezed power once, but they have exposed themselves as a morally vaccous group of lockstepping facist wanabees, attaching themselves to the rich in a colition of power sharing exactly like Saudi Arabia.

Why do repugs oppose public education? Oppose abortion or population control? They need a unedcucated slave labor force of ignorant brown shirt seig heiling lemmings to turn america into Saudi Arabia, a religious state controlled by one family of super rich.

The solution is education, but recently Texas, the stupidest most right wing sewer of the US, sucessfully voted to teach religious superstition as public policy. Welcome to the beginning of the next dark ages, where religious billionaire warlords make laws and decide who lives and dies.

Meanwhile, China, who is unrolling a massive government sponsored and financed car industry, and who owns america lock stock and barrel, now that the right wing cowards voted to have the super rich sell all of it for their profit, is quietly observing the stupidity of the religious brainwashed americans and licking their chops, it will be an easy conquest, and you right wing lemmings will be slave labor to your asian owners while you praise your imaginary baby jew god.

Please stop talking about her. I find her tedious. She was crazy and ignorant during the election and she is crazy and ignorant now.

What I don't understand most is how people can still find her to be some kind of moral guidepost when she is so morally flawed. How can people not see that she is a hypocrite and she is using religion for political gain just like Bush did?

"In May 2008, Bruce Wilson, co-founder of the blog Talk2Action, made a short video featuring a recording of Pastor John Hagee preaching about how God had sent Hitler to hunt the Jews and force them to Israel. The video went viral and McCain was forced to disassociate himself and repudiate Hagee’s endorsement. Hagee slunk off the national stage.

Flash forward to September of last year. McCain (now the GOP’s presidential candidate) chooses a relatively obscure political figure, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, as his running mate. When a CNN reporter asked a GOP campaign spokesperson about Palin’s religious beliefs, she would only say that “the Republican vice presidential candidate has ‘deep religious convictions.’”

          Ok, FTA:
"One of the imperatives of the movement is to achieve worldly power, including political control. Then you can more effectively drive out the demons. The ultimate goal is to purify the earth."

Has Sarah Palin ever read the Bible?? Human beings cannot purify the earth, human beings are the reason the earth is in the shape it's in, starting with the first book of the Old Testament!

What is she trying to pass herself off to be, the Messiah reincarnate? However, there are some out here who think she's the chosen one. They disregard the flaws in her and her family that has become evident in the last year, and blame Liberals for bringing it to light.

Lloyd thinks that racial slurs are payback for those of us who ridiculed the Bush administration for its unbecoming conduct and crimes against humanity.

I suppose it should be of no surprise to find wingnut racists like lloyd who would be among Palin's most ardent supporters.

This Church is close to what is required as long as they do know...that removing this demon requires the removal of money...it too requires the ones that are poessessed to see...what they have done and be given a remedy to satisfactorily remedy what they did while commiting what is called moral terpitude.
The processes that were set forth from the begimnning of time, started as without sin...without the act taking place...then suddenly...we see thousands of years compiled upon what Nature dictates...in the wrong resultant...harm to us...the perfectly innocent...just following the stimulus' impact upon our human form.
Setting principles in law as the colonist did...set up an order or form of governing that is called meeting the requirements of a devine Providence...a rational place for all to live...in a virtuous and good environment.
These demons are men...that are incorrectly carrying out their duties in a flagerant manner...and not meeting the moral requirments dictated by Nature for human beings...while doing their work or crime...being one seeing completely, the whole...the correct is expungement from these borders...yet...if they are dealt with the way we should witness the event...we will give them a course of remedy...that satifys they walk their baby steps again among in society...with our full knowlege of their presnece...working and receiving just compenstaion for their work...yet loosing all the property they gained while within these borders...and the property split among us, plus again...in a fair and just manner....they would later qualify to recieve a share. A democracy...that republics.

FWIW, I don't think Palin buys into this wacko religion.

I think she uses it, quite cynically, as the Pastor of her church surely does, then goes home, smokes a fat one, has a good laugh.

This is the carnival, folks, there's the carnies, and there's the rubes. Palin is a carnie. Keep one hand on your wallet and back slowly away from her.
