Posted By mdguy2415 8 months, 1 week ago in SportsThis morning, Los Angeles Angels hurler and Maryland native Nick Adenhart tragically had his life taken from him along with two of his friends due to a horrific car accident in Fullerton, California after last night's Athletics-Angels game. A suspected drunk driver smashed the vehicle he was in just hours after the rookie made his first start of the season.
The Angels organization has always put a premium on character, and from what I have read, Adenhart fit the bill.
If you watch the second video above, Adenhart must have made an impact on those he met, and to Los Angeles GM Tony Reagins, skipper Mike Scioscia along with super agent Scott Boras -- love or love hate him -- emotional and sobbing, shows that despite baseball being a game and a business, the man who play on the field, executives, agents are indeed human.
