Obama's Radical Foreign Policy Sacrifices Sovereignty »
Posted By pc25 7 months, 2 weeks ago in Political NewsWhile North Korea's missile test shows just how menacing the world can be, Barack Obama has unveiled a radical foreign policy. This policy leaves American troops carrying all the risks in overseas combat, while lowering our defenses at the same time that dangerous regimes are developing their means of mass destruction. It also subjects American companies to foreign socialistic control, as European leaders speak about a new, secular global order no longer led by the United States. President Obama is sacrificing our sovereignty and safety in an increasingly perilous world that rejects American value

Pc. only a greedy, right-wing bigot like you would fabricate or even pass on lies and distortions like this! Shows how un-American you really are!

Has Obama proposed a "citizen of the World" and that Americans become same? You idiot fool! Only support your presidents when they are corrupt repugs, you further fool?
Obama is just turning back to pre-Dumya, back when Americans could be proud of their efforts across the world! But, keep your delusions, you pig!

Too Much Humility in the Age of Obama
WASHINGTON -- President Obama set great expectations for himself on his first European diplomatic trip to test his new get-along-by-going-along foreign policy. And it was a complete success, according to the gushing reports from the news media.
Not everyone agreed with that assessment. Obama certainly proved "that he can work smoothly and productively with a wide range of foreign leaders -- provided that he allows them to set the agenda," remarked the Washington Post's foreign-policy analyst Jackson Diehl.-

You know look at that's gone down in less than three months,,,,,, then these knuckleheads tell us we "need to give Obama time" and we are wrong to be upset, especially since some of us voted for Bush, but dang, just think what these guys can 'do' with a full 4 years or (shudder) 8?

I hope you are shaking in your boots the entirety of the next (shudder) 8 years! Where is the substance in your post? This substantive thought you claim? The ability of your side to sway millions of Americans to buy into your arguments (and we are not talking about the people who voted for McCain/Palin). Just wondering?

Losing an election is no excuse for the mass hysteria laid out on these boards by the Right. Where are the opposing solutions to Obama's? Tax cuts? You were rejected in November and nothing has changed. You will be rejected again if you don't come up with your own new and creative solutions. I have yet to see any new ideas from the conservative side. But of course you are sort of locked in box in that regard.

Wall street doesn't know if it's coming or going because of him....Yep everything is smooth sailing at 1600. -

I think it is the Values of American hegemony with the newest form "Pre-emptive wars" that the world is rejecting. Claiming democracy while supporting brutal dicators who are favorable to American business interest is an unsustainable hypocritcal policy that has come home to bite us in the butt.
However, I believe the world embraces the New America as a partner not the dictator of the world. -

Just look at this European trip and the immediate aftermath:
Reply
1) Russia is elevated into summit talks about disarmament, when they have had nuclear weapons for 60 years and can't maintain their current stockpile.
2) N. Korea send off a ballistic missle while the President of the US is talking about disarmament. He threatens them with the UN, who can't even issue a comment.
3) Europe is providing some support troops to stay in the rear with the gear in Afghanistan. Germans there still can't fire their weapons, and the US is ramping up alone.
4) Europe didn't go along with increased stimulus spending. (to their credit.)
5) The US presient apologises for savery, native American Indian policy, arrogance, and trashed the previou President while on foreign soil in countries responsible for the slave trade, Armenian genocide, Hitler, colonialism, and many other wrongs that go along with their positive contributions.
6) The US agrees to unconditional talks with Iran regarding nuclear weapons and the next day Iran announces new capacity to make nuclear weapons.
7) Pirates board a ship at sea and take an American hostage. First time this has happened since 1804. The next day they make another, but unsuccessful, attempt.
8) Congressional delegation goes to Cuba and returns with gushing accounts of the Castros. No visit to dissidents or comments on the dire economic and social conditions in the country. -

With his feet planted on the same continent where are buried thousands of Americans who died to free that continent, Barack Hussein Obama called America arrogant.

With his feet planted on the same desert sand where Americans were murdered by Saudi terrorists, where Christianity is forbidden, and where children are taught that Jews descended from apes and swine, Barack Hussein Obama bowed before a Saudi tribal chieftain.

That all sounds wonderful. And if you wrote this you have a similar flow to Peggy Noonan (a compliment believe me). Peggy put many beautiful words into Reagan's mouth and he spoke them eloquently (let's see anyone from the Right ever speak of Obama this way).
Reply
But that doesn't hide the fact that he allowed (under his watch) Casey, Poindexter and North (and of course others) to barter with terrorists through back channels. To which Reagan claimed "plausible deniability". A shameful chapter in our history. But it kept Reagan from having to suffer through the continuance of the Iranian Crisis. Does that makes the scurrilous actions of these men somehow more acceptable? Apparently to some. You excuse such actions and have a hissy fit over an etiquette matter. Truly laughable.
"Barack Hussein Obama bowed before a Saudi tribal chieftain."
Admittedly a protocol error. However to compare this to the Bush's association with the Royal Family is farcical. Bandar cozying up to the Bush's at Kennebunkport and in Texas. Making himself at home. I don't recall any objection from your side to such behavior. And that is the part the public saw. And you do recall we spirited wealthy Arabs out of this country post 9/11?
Perhaps Obama doesn't want to end up like Carter. Dealing with an embargo that could quickly cripple this country far beyond where we are today. Drill! Drill! Drill! A reminder we have about 3% of the known petroleum reserves and use 25% of the worlds available supply. Unless you all want to start commuting on bicycles you are one of the hundreds of millions of Americans suckling at the Arab teat. Your distress is a ruse to hide your awareness of that fact.
And Obama's apology is for the last eight years. The lack of diplomacy advocated by the
neocons. The use of blunt force against sovereign nations who had not attacked us and were barely capable of such an attack. Rice and Powell hardly got to use their diplomatic skills. They were simply shut out of the process. The world needed to hear we will do better. That we will listen before acting. That we will operate based on logic and reason. That'is to what Obama was referring. You excuse past behavior in the name of partisanship. Thankfully we won the election.

I hope you're right Georgia the War of Northern Aggression freed the slaves but it also caused major changes in our government, i.e., the beginning of the federal government and the a total recreation of the US Senate. So what was good for the few at that time might not have worked out so well for all of us, including descendants of slaves, in the long run.

Republicans have been fighting against the Working Class in America for many decades now.
Their hatred of WORK was most evident in the recent Bush Administration and their major push for Welfare for the Wealthy.
But it's not just the Wealthy that the Modern Republican arms against the Middle Classes .. the WORKING Class...
The Modern Right ALSO engages in war on Seniors and Children.
Republicans CRIMINALIZED Seniors for DARING to break their laws that FORCED them to buy drugs at vastly inflated prices ... thereby protecting the Big Pharmaceutical Industry.
And of course, Republicans fought against CHILDREN by voting to ensure that children could not get access to Health Insurance.
Fact is ... The Modern Republican has been at war with America ... on the side of the Landed Rich ... (70% of whom do NOTHING but count their money as inheritors) ... and Large Corporations.
Of course, I realize that The Modern American who somehow supports this perversion of Traditional American values, fairness, and justice ... does so not because they are ignorant ... well ... that's true for many of you .... but I believe y'all have been placed under the spell of your MESSIAH ... the Grand PooBah of Blowhards ... Rush Limbaugh the Entertainer.

Here's what the UK Telegraph has assessed Bush ...
"The president is known to put his feet on coffee tables, talk with food in his mouth and once gave Angela Merkel, the German chancellor, an impromptu shoulder massage.
During a United Nations lunch he swigged water out of the bottle, prompting Colin Powell, his Secretary of State, to pour some into a glass for him."
All and all ... I'd say it's nice that Europeans are discussing substantive things about Obama ... as opposed to laughing at what a fool he is ... as became so commonplace during the previous administration.
Maybe THAT'S why all those European nations pulled out of the Iraq invasion ... they began to realize what a fool ole GW was.
Patriotic Americans are PROUD of the change.
Ideologues are FRUSTRATED by the change.

Obama admitted past U.S. misbehavior! That is surely a sign of weakness...or maybe, perhaps, a sign of renewed strength? Or maybe, it's just being honest, a quality the Bush Administration eschewed.
