This Texas legislator would like people of Chinese, Japanese, Korean and those from other Asian countries to change their names to make them more Americanized. What utter rubbish! Her veiled claim of how difficult Chinese is to learn does not fly. Making such sweeping generalized statements does not make Representative Betty Brown look all that worldly and only serves to add insult to injury.

U.S. unfortunately 50% of all eyelid surgeries last year were done on Asian women. Every one was for a cosmetic purpose, to look western. That bothers me to no end. When will we see more Asian models? Without them looking ethnic, domestic or child like yet like sex goddesses? When will they have their own TV series? I think it's time.
