BMI.. I don't place much into raw numbers. according to BMI.. Arnold was MORBIDLY OBESE when he won all those body building titles.. so was Stallone in the Rocky and Rambo movies.. although that may be my way of rationalizing a few extra pounds.. LOL -

I was once told that when the body creates a fat cell that that cell always excists and am sort of curious if this might not be the same for the brown fat cells. The one thing that I heard about this today while listening to a morning show was that the cold had a lot to do with activating the brown fat cells.

This may sort of be off topic in regards to people but with cattle when a calf is born and its body temperature starts to drop I was told by a vet that the calf has a type of fat which gives up its energy quickly and allows the calf to regain its body heat so it could be something similiar in people. It would be nice to see a study done to compare the effects of the cold as compared to arobic exercise in the activation of the brown fat cells.
