As much as Europeans and others criticize the United States, we are the last and best hope for World Order. As we plod through history our every move affects the world more significantly than any other nation. It is in the interest of most nations to see us succeed, although sometimes they won't readily admit it.

As far as Europe is concerned, the United States would easily be out of debt, with much to spare, if America was to reestablish the forgiven war debts of World Wars I and II (with interest, of course). Add to that the expenditures of America (administered by that unappreciated engineer and Quaker, Herbert Hoover) when we fed a starving post-World War I Germany in the 1920s. Then add to that what the Marshall plan cost the United States to re-build a war-shattered, post-World War II Europe. Add to that the cost of the Cold War, for decades on end, while these NAGGING countries more or less sat back and let the U.S. bear the brunt of expenditures to protect their collective butts from the U.S.S.R. and her Warsaw Pact Nations. And these country's leaders have the NERVE to chastise the United States for over spending? Would they have preferred that we followed President's Washington's sage advice and "...avoid foreign entanglements."? And now that we are down, all they can do is kick U.S.?! THE INGRATITUDE!!!
