Will only knows how to attack people instead of discussing the issue. I have a strong stand on the issue of marriage as a sacred institution. Changing marriage after several millennia for only a portion of the less than 3% of the population that are homosexual is a very bad idea.

Well endoscopy, when do you really discuss this issue? all you do is say the same thing over and over, never a sign of an open mind. No discussion..just comments.

Marriage is not a sacred institution unless you personally want it to be in YOUR life, otherwise it would be the church giving you these rights/blessings/protections etc...nobody has to be anywhere near religion to be legally married under our laws, our government, which has nothing to do with 'sacred'

People can get married just about anywhere, the license is given by the state, NOT the church.

If your own marriage is sacred, nobody is stopping that, nor do they want to, it's nobody elses business. Why are you so concerned about anyone else who wants to commit themselves with each other and enjoy the same rights and protections that others do? why do you even feel you have that right??? it's beyond me, why make it your business??? Why do you want the government in anybodies love life beyond what is legal??.

I have a strong attachment to the word "marriage" being between one man and one woman.

You can lobby to call it something else, but why deny a group of human beings their basic right to live as families? That seems to be a natural inclination to want to form family units.

Note that in polygamous "marriages," there is jealousy and resentment, but those in them are brainwashed to believe that's their lot in life. I don't consider them "marriages", myself.

Mating and pair-bonding is seen in all cultures, and homosexuality exists in all cultures, too, as a predictable percentage.

        Mating is complex, certainly.
