So far they're winning! For them to hold our Navy at bay as they float around without fuel........wow. Those involved with trying to get him back must be relatively sure if they try to rescue him he'll be killed as the pirates have threatened.

They are no good and if they think they can hold off the navy and our reinforcemets I think they better think again. when I said who do they think they are, I meant who do these guys think thet are doing what they are doing because I dont think they well get away with it for long. I just hope they dont hurt that poor man, here it is Easter and he's propley thinking of being home with his family. I didnt know if you wanted to know about that one earlier about them capturing a nother tug boat because you are covering it. someone might have it out already. did they say he exscaped over night while they were asleep and captured him again? thats what I was told they said they heard it on the news. From now on I think the men that go out like that should be able to carrie guns just incase these bad guys keep doing this.

This is just infuriating! When those other pirate ships attempted to "rescue" their fellow criminals in the lifeboat, why weren't they fired upon and sunk? Do we even know if the hostage is still alive? I fear the longer this goes on, the less likely he will be returned alive.

I've heard in other reports that temperatures inside the enclosed lifeboat could reach dangerous levels and there are no sanitation facilities. I haven't heard if it is equipped with food and water, but the conditions must be at a horrific level.
I've heard on other threads some people defend the pirates (terrorists) because their country is so poor and people are starving.....yet the US ship that was captured was trying to deliver food to Somalia....go figure.
