Possibly, but both CNN and Fox would be part of that movement. They both play this up as a "divisive" issue aimed at maximizing emotional responses, which fits their role as corporate media mainly interested in preserving privileges of the rich at the expense of the poor. Frankly the man the reporter interviewed was right about one thing: Americans are mad about being made paupers in theri own country. Of course, it is rather ironic that the "tea party" type of rabble rousing is mainly aimed at making Americans ignore the fact that it is the corruption of a system that has been transferring wealth to the super-rich ever since Reagan (by both parties) that is the root of our economic pain. Until that base corruption is rooted out (and you can decide for yourself whether either of our political parties is really trying), matters will only get worse.

Perhaps the most interesting part was the assertion about Lincoln. The fact is that Lincoln was not afraid to take a step that both the Obama and Bush administrations have avoided like the plague. Lincoln directly challenged corrupt bankers rather than letting them control the country. In contrast, both the Bush and Obama administrations have caved in to exactly the oligarchical financial circles that caused our present crash. INdeed, both administrations have appointed members of the corrupt oligarchical financial circles to "direct recovery", thereby sealing in corruption. In my opinion, NEITHER of the political parties (and certainly not the propaganda promoted by right-wing billionaires at the tea parties) has as yet addressed the fundamental corruption that has set in since Reagan: robbing the poor for the benefit of the rich and using the pluder in benefit of financial oligarchs. This article (which is long) is well worth reading in its entirety.
Revive Lincoln’s Monetary Policy: an Open Letter to President Obama
..... The bankers had Lincoln's government over a barrel, just as Wall Street has Congress in its vice-like grip today. The North needed money to fund a war, and the bankers were willing to lend it only under circumstances that amounted to extortion, involving staggering interest rates of 24 to 36 percent. Lincoln saw that this would bankrupt the North and asked a trusted colleague to research the matter and find a solution. In what may be the best piece of advice ever given to a sitting President, Colonel Dick Taylor of Illinois reported back that the Union had the power under the Constitution to solve its financing problem by printing its money as a sovereign government. Taylor said: -

Interestingly enough, I bet the same people that thought it was ok to attack Fox reporters during the election cycle now think this is over the top crazy stuff.

Did you see those right wing media folks talking about how crazy the right wing is they supposedly are part of? Well fry my hide. -

You might be surprised.
Propeller really sucks for posting links sometimes. It keeps cutting "& feature" out of the link between TtU and =related. WTF?

I have to say that while I watched that, I couldn't help but feel the reporter was doing far more debating than reporting.

not that he wasn't a wac job himself.. loose on facts and all, but that has nothing to do with how she does her job. -

This reporter was arguing with the man and not letting him talk. She was trying to ridicule his position. This is tame compared to universities when a conservative tries to address the student bode. The liberals shout them down before they can say a word. But listen to these liberals rant about this. While a place that is supposed to be a bastion of free speech shuts it down.

I have never seen such vast Tea Bag crowds. The people were lined up 100 deep and spanned for 15 miles in either direction.

The Speakers were eloquent as they came together in unison through the melodic megaphone. This was a first class Tea Bag Rendevous. I am totally impressed and eagerly await electon 2012 to see if whoever masterminded todays event will chair the GOP Convention....BRAVO!-

Are people really this foolish? Why did they not get angry when Bush raised taxes for EVERYBODY except the poor and the top 1%? Fools, we are having taxes reduced and they just cannot understand what is going on unless Rush tells them to understand. WOW!!!! This country is a real mess...

She seemed pretty aggressive towards the person she was interviewing....I couldn't really understand any of the comments coming from the crowd behind her so i don't know if she was just acting like that due to being harassed by the crowd, but either way I thought she was being very unprofessional and obviously let her political views get in the way of unbiased reporting.

The video attached to this was simply a "clip" of the incident. Some of us saw it unfold LIVE and yes, she was being harassed for simply asking questions. The clip shows what it turned into, but there was much that led up to it. I'm not defending her aggressive style coming out in reaction to the harassment, but that's not how it would have gone down if the people there were even the slightest bit civil toward her. It was really a disgraceful scene to watch as it was aired live.

I realize the Fox people reading this don't want to hear it, but she was driven to act the way she did by a crowd of hecklers who wouldn't let up. Maybe she could have handled it better (and probably should have handled it better), but who among us have the ability to remain fully calm and objective when constantly harassed and heckled by a crowd with opposing views? I think the answer to that can be found by simply reading Propeller and observing the nastiness that erupts almost instantly whenever an opposing view is voiced. For people to say she should have handled herself better while at the same time are spewing hatred at any and all who disagree with them is the ultimate hypocrisy, in my opinion.

It's plain to see when she is pushing Obama talking points in his face while he supposedly had the floor of the discussion. Then breaks away whining about being anti CNN? She had an agenda and the guy took it away from her, period.

The guy she interviewed was a raging pinhead. If he had a point he would have made it. He squandered his opportunity by going on about nothin.

One of the tricks of being in such a situation is to have a soundbite ready and to use it. Go babbling on about how Lincoln stood for liberty when somebody asks you about taxes and you will look like a fool. As he did. -
