From each according to his ability, to each according to his need (or needs) is a slogan popularized by Karl Marx in his 1875 Critique of the Gotha Program.[1] The phrase summarizes the principles that, under a communist system, every person should contribute to society to the best of his ability and consume from society in proportion to his needs, regardless of how much he has contributed. In the Marxist view, such an arrangement will be made possible by the abundance of goods and services that a developed communist society will produce; the idea is that there will be enough to satisfy everyone's needs.

      Obviously you didn't read Atlas Shrugged
      The "looters" aren't the people who work. People who work are also "producers"
      The looters are the people who always have their hands out expecting money to be seized from the workers and given to them
      
      No one objects to helping the truly needy
      Everyone should object to turning their hard earned money over to the clueless and the lazy
      
      As Ben Franklin said; "I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer.
