Don't be too sure. The original whistleblowers at NSA reported spying on Republicans by Dick Cheney. For example, Cheney seems to have been very afraid that Dick Armey would NOT support the war powers resolution for Iraq. Not surprising given that Armey has now told us that he would have rejected the Iraq war EXCEPT for the fact that Cheney lied to him and that he strongly regrets having supported that war.
