Rasmussen: 51% view tea parties favorably
Reply
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/04/20/rasmussen-51...
Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans have a favorable view of the “tea parties” held nationwide last week, including 32% who say their view of the events is Very favorable.
Thirty-three percent (33%) hold an unfavorable opinion of the tea parties according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Fifteen percent (15%) are not sure.
While half the nation has a favorable opinion of last Wednesday’s events, the nation’s Political Class has a much dimmer view—just 13% of the political elite offered even a somewhat favorable assessment while 81% said the opposite. Among the Political Class, not a single survey respondent said they had a Very Favorable opinion of the events while 60% shared a Very Unfavorable assessment.-

pc, I think it speaks very well for the tea parties if the Political Class gave an 81% unfavorable assessment. I think that shows they were watching and didn't like what they saw, I'd say about 81% of those in congress should get their pink slips next year.

The tea parties were a mix of democrats, republicans, libertarians and independents . Your problem is that you are so angry about it you can't accept the truth, people, all kinds of people, are getting more and more fed up with Washington D.C. everyday. Take a look at reality and keep driving your train. -

What truth is that Klarissa? That Texans as a whole and US would be better off if Texas seceded from the union?

Do you guys still Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands: one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all? Or is it now a divisible Republic? Just curious.-

I saw an extremely misinformed individual about current reality, American history, and founding principles of US government quote mining Thomas Jefferson, is that the truth? No?

Then maybe you should actually try answering my questions.

"You can tell when the libs are overwhelmed by the truth - no comments from them. Or the daily Kos hasn't given them their directions."

I think it's more on par of not wanting to get in the way of the daily Repugunant Con circle jerk where facts don't play much of a role in debate.

That was a very nice story of rags to riches.

I agree with her that in the end no matter how much the government does for us, we are in control of our own future. It may be harder for some than others, but with enough determination anyone can succeed. The government can help make that path a little easier, but in the end its up to you.-

I agree nostalgia, when there is too much government they do prevent people from being able to do things like this. But there has to be enough government to allow people these chances. Its a difficult thing to find the right balance, we've been expanding the government and throwing that balance off.

EXCLUSIVE: Senator's husband cashes in on crisis
Feinstein sought $25 billion for agency that awarded contract to spouse
On the day the new Congress convened this year, Sen. Dianne Feinstein introduced legislation to route $25 billion in taxpayer money to a government agency that had just awarded her husband's real estate firm a lucrative contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the industry norms.
Mrs. Feinstein's intervention on behalf of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was unusual: the California Democrat isn't a member of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs with jurisdiction over FDIC; and the agency is supposed to operate from money it raises from bank-paid insurance payments - not direct federal dollars.
Documents reviewed by The Washington Times show Mrs. Feinstein first offered Oct. 30 to help the FDIC secure money for its effort to stem the rise of home foreclosures. Her letter was sent just days before the agency determined that CB Richard Ellis Group (CBRE) - the commercial real estate firm that her husband Richard Blum heads as board chairman - had won the competitive bidding for a contract to sell foreclosed properties that FDIC had inherited from failed banks.

White supremacists and racists huh? Interesting since I saw several black people at the tea party I went to. It looks like James Carville has been watching too much of the Wishful Thinking channel. Interesting how U never saw a tea party during the Bush Administration.

I have a question for conservatives/Republicans/tea partyers/etc or whatever it is that you guys call yourselves nowadays that has been bugging me for a while.

Why would you trust Obama administration to waterboard, slam into walls, put people through prolonged sleep deprivation that NKVD called "conveyor" and spy on the RIGHT people, but don't trust the administration to spend your tax money? And by RIGHT people, I mean the ones who actually have intelligence as opposed to those who are right-wing. Although I do find it fairly ironic that according to you guys FBI is now monitoring tea parties. -

This is just an excuse for the White Supremacist-militia types who are rallying against President Obama just because he's black.
Reply
If they're so concerned about their taxes, why weren't they rallying when Jack Abramhoff was leaving his slime trail through the halls of Congress?-
