They said foreclosure prevention programs should focus on solving the causes of foreclosures.

Altnrg. And they would be right. In any problem solving exercise all potential causes that can be thought of should be examined and the most likely causes identified. From those identified most likely potential causes, potential corrective actions could be identified.

This problem solving process has served the world well - that is, when it is properly used.
The fly in the ointment is unnecessary diversion. In this instance politics and greed. If the cause and the corrective action to fix the cause were identified and action were taken to fix that cause, we would be in the recovery mode and would get there quickest. -

My Fellow Americans: I want to help the President streamline the budget, so, I am going to offer a few suggestions. Let's stop spending tax payer money on the Wednesday night parties. Get rid of those big Limos and start using Prise. How about flying to other countries on just one Jet not a half dozen 747s along with the country jet. Let the body guards fly coach on regular airliners. By the way why don't you just dump some of those guards anyway since you are so popular no one wants to harm you in anyway. Ok, we are rolling, eliminate all the free stuff for illegal aliens, no tax payer medical care, housing, food stamps, jobs that they don't pay taxes on, what a savings that will be. Welfare, get rid of it, It should only be for those that have lost their jobs who have a good work history. Of course, we do have unemployment compensation, when it runs out then provide some welfare assistance. Only for American Citizens. What else, Why don't you actually go through all the budget line by line and cut some of that stupid spending instead of lying about doing it. If you need more ideas I really want to help out. I love the comments from the radical Right wingers who said nothing when Bush and his cadre of thieves totally destroyed the Constitution. If you examine the real history of the US is 1792, every 10-15 yrs there was a financial crisis until 1929 when we had the great melt down. We finally instituted RULES and Regulations on Capitalistic GREED. Everything worked fairly well for 50 years with some mild recessions but overall pretty good. Enter the GREAT GOD RONNIE RAYGUN and his deregulation and we got 700 failed Savings & Loans and still the GOP stripped more regulations and now we have a total meltdown. We need to restore sanity first

Giving a one year mortgage holiday will help everyone get a chance to buy down their debt and stimulate the economy. If you listen to the pundits, nothing Obama doing is working. Yet, this Economy is slowly turning around. If it was simply yours or mine foreclosures, the problem could be solved with an adjustment in the duration of the mortgage. No the heartless Banks doesn't want that, they want a bail-out, blaming mom and pop for the debacle. Bullchit!!! It's their own sleezy operations that got them in this mess. So stop blaming the Minorities for this mess, it's the Banks' fault, operating UNREGULATED. No one watching their books.

The banks doesn't want a "One-year Mortgage Holiday". Why? Because they will still be stuck with those Sub-Divisions that no one ever lived in, that they are listing as foreclosures. With such Holiday, that will free up $1,177 a month that I could spend. With millions of Mortgages out their, money will be flowing down the streets. But wait, DEFLATION will be replaced with INFLATION. Chit, we are stuck, the Holiday won't work either. Just give us a good paying job, and things will work out. Cut the UNEMPLOYMENT roll, put the people back to work, is our only recourse.

Just finished reading the Nine Points Stimulus Plan. If Obama would have offered such a plan, you would be calling him a SOCIALIST PIG. Now I see, it's not the Plan, but it's who's offering the Plan that's important. Let some Jack-off come up with a Plan, and it's Golden.
