Wiki. You really need to get out more often. The credit card scandal starts with the creditors not the borrowers.

We people need a National Usury law that is fixed with real sharp teeth. A lot of this crisis was brought on by unscrupulous credit lending and unethical conduct, not to mention illegal.

my husband and i r in terrible cc debt when i he lost his job after the last 2 hurricanes we tried to reason with them, to no avail. they were rude and uncompromising with many threats. we are in our 60's and do not want to loose what little we have. our cc debt is great so we are no with a consolidation company that is trying to negotiate with them . this also cost money. since going with nationwide assets most of the companies tried to negotiate with us privately. why oh why coul the have not done this before? we are now on the verge of filing bankruptcy.
