Posted By orndorffter 6 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsUsually, it\'s an empty threat: If you kids don\'t stop fighting, I\'m going to stop this car right now and leave you here! But a mother from an upper-crust New York suburb went through with it, ordering her battling 10- and 12-year-old daughters out of her car in White Plains\' business district and driving off, police said Tuesday.

My father actually did stop the car and made my brother and me get out of the car and left us on the side of the road. Of course he went around the block and picked us up. We were good for a few days, but hell we're kids, and went back to being our rotten selves again. lol.

I think almost ever parent has done that at least one time, but they are never far from you like driveing real slow far enough where you think they really did leave you then pull up beside you and say "Now you get in this car and if you ever start fighting and yealing the next time I wont come and get you, you'll find your own way home" me and my sister had a bad habbit of that and it happened to us to, but after about 3 days we went back to our old ways fighting and yealing.

When I was fifteen we were living in France and we were out touring the country side and I was being a brat. My Dad pulled over and told me to get out and he drove off. Here I was in a strange country with only a minimal grasp of the language walking down a country road. Needless to say I was good after that for a while. He did pick me up after about a twenty minute interval.

It is a traumatic situation for a child to be abandoned by a parent like that. You can imagine what emotional issues might arise," he said.'

On this one, I'm going to say these girls are probably 2 big babies.
My parents threatened to drop my brother and I off before, empty threat, we would have LOVED to be dropped off, we would have said 'coool'
I know that was a different time then now, but people have cell phones now,and girls 10 and 12?? come on. sounds like bratty babies to me, not like they were 4 and 6. -

its getting so you can't discipline your kids in any way, shape, form, or fashion without the parents being arrested for neglect or abuse...

I kicked mine out of the car and then pulled ahead a couple hundred yards. When they were close to the car I did it again. This was in a wooded area. I always kept them in sight and could get to them quickly if needed. After a couple of miles of walking they behaved when they got back into the car.

This person just drove away and that is absolutely wrong. A parent is still responsible for the safety of their children. -

I nipped my kids ego's in the bud when they started pre-k. My son didn't want to go to school and said he could do any thing he wanted. All he had to do was call DSS and turn me in. I took him to the back door at the local Department of social services and told him to get out of the car and told his sister she could do the same. I even told them that DSS would get them a knew mommy and Daddy with money, that they could boss around. Who knows maybe they will be rich christian drunks that might beat them. Either way it goes you will go to school. He got back in the car and I had no more problems.

I had a roomate who had a tendency to do that with me and my other roomate. He wouldn't pull over and tell us to get out, instead, he'd go to his car and drive off without us if we weren't standing by his car waiting for him. He was the type of guy who would move his car when we were in the store, and, try to make it seem like I and the other roomate had bad memories. He was very convincing, but, I noticed that, since I'm no longer his roomate, my memory has much improved. This guy was a frustrated cult leader. If he had about 50 more points to his IQ, I think he'd have been a sucCESSful cult leader. He just lacked the brains is all.
