Cox's Bazar is the tourist capital of Bangladesh . Cox's Bazar was named after Mr. Captain Cox an officer of British East India Company serving in British India. In the 18th century. It is situated 150 km south of Chittagong, the leading seaport of Bangladesh . Miles of golden sands, surfing waves, towering cliffs, rare conch shells, Buddhist temples and tribes, delightful sea-food, colorful pagodas; this is Cox's Bazar. Coxs Bazar is well-known for its large sandy beach which is claimed to be the world's longest natural sandy sea beach . It is an unbroken 125 km sandy sea beach with a gentle slope.
