We do need to explore and implement alternative sources of energy. Some day we are going to run out of oil, it won't happen all at once but it will become increasingly expensive.

as it becomes more expensive, more supply will become available.

a lot of the losses that the oil companies have bene facing during this financial collapse is based on writing down the value of their known reserves as the value of that oil drops.

What about an ambitious government-funded, private contracted project that would create wind turbine facilities in key parts of the US that have a lot of wind activity or solar facilities in places that get a maximum amount of sunlight? Use the stimulus money for something tangible. These projects would be on par with projects like the Hoover Dam and the Grand Coulee Dam, to create another source for electricity.

See...they think they can, because the District of Columbia is not in the due process...completely out. And to establish it, they forced a Church to sell it's land...
Those of religion...may make their own choice...but I do not need them...we need communicate and vote every individual bill...the whole, the several states...all of us...together debate, arbitrate, vote the concurring and correct assent of law.

I see in Nevada and California they are trying to stop solar plants from being built in the desert. Using to much water and ruining habitat for tortoises.
      Go get them "tree huggers".
