Rising poverty, unemployment and food insecurity in Gaza, compounded by the recent 23-day Israeli offensive, have increased the threat of child malnutrition, say UN agencies, health ministry officials and healthcare NGOs in Gaza.

UN World Health Organization (WHO) officials are concerned by the warning signs, including rising malnutrition indicators - like increased cases of stunting, wasting and underweight children - and continuing high rates of anaemia among children and pregnant women.

This is the Palestinians' and Hamas's fault. If they decided to make peace rather than try to annihilate Israel, they would have all they needed. Hamas should also not steal the donations from other countries like blankets and food. there is no excuse except the Palestinians and Hamas!!

I am CONTINUALLY amazed that the ONLY place these stories
    are covered is ONLINE!
Has anyone heard of the plight of our fellow American,
Tristan Anderson, on the news? Has the news mentioned that
Israel refuses to cooperate with the U.N. investigation on
the type of warfare used in Gaza? Have they EVEN covered the
testimony of soldiers in the IDF about what took place in
Gaza? If it is not complimentary.........it will NOT be
    heard on our American airwaves!
Is any other nation - including the U.S. - granted such
secrecy? Not that I know of - and my question is......WHY??

And so it will continue until both sides decide that peaceful co-existence, with all the concessions that implies, is more important than national hegemony.

Palestine is isn't going anywhere. Neither is Israel.

No, dissent, realpolitik dictates that "all bets are off."

Each side must pull ITSELF (and not the other side) up by the scruff its own neck....

Utopian? Naive? But what are other options?
