    More sad news.
I can't help but wonder how many of these people voted for Bush. Do they still think the economy is in good shape. Or do they blame the crash of 2008 on Obama being elected in 2009.
I have a lot of sympathy for those who saw this coming and voted against Bush but lost their jobs anyway. There wasn't much they could do to change things.

Ummm. Supposedly 10% unemployment. Then "But in another sign of labor market weakness, the number of people continuing to claim benefits rose to 6.13 million". There are more than 60 million employment eligible people in the US who have or are seeking jobs.

      What does this number mean?

These numbers are under-reported. It's truly sad and I hope things get better for all those looking for work in this economy.
