He seems to not be taking his responsibilities. It's as if he thinks that if he appoints people, (probably vetted by the same people who ran his campaign), he can just sit back and play the role.
What disturbs me as much as anything is his appointing tax cheats and lobbyists, and signing a bill full of pork where no one could see him do it.
Lack of media coverage of the bill signing gives lie to his promise of transparency.-

I agree. The TARP fund that BUSH and his boy Paulsen gave away with no strings attached whatsoever! The Obama administration is putting strings on the money they control but Bush gave away the first $700 billion of your hard earned tax money without so much as an IOU.

The Political Machine headline is wishful thinking. If the economy is still in the tank three months from now and we're still begging the banks to lend out the money we gave them, you might see some real movement in the numbers. So far, I think the smaller shift represents a.) post-campaign hangover and b.) the dawning realization that there's no quick fix for our fiscal mess. -
