    The people of Connecticut have marriage equality because their court system protected the rights of the minority. Regardless of whether the legislature passed this bill or not, the Supreme Court made its point clearly when it said that fairness and equality were not being granted to all in Connecticut. With this new law, marriage equality is alive and well.
