Industry Ignored Its Own Scientists on Climate »

Posted By Aidenag 7 months ago in News

For more than a decade the Global Climate Coalition, a group representing industries with profits tied to fossil fuels, led an aggressive lobbying and public relations campaign against the idea that emissions of heat-trapping gases could lead to global warming . But a document filed in a federal lawsuit demonstrates that even as the coalition worked to sway opinion, its own scientific and technical experts were advising that the science backing the role of greenhouse gases in global warming could not be refuted.

Public concern over global warming was a big concern to the oil companies several years ago. It was routinely mentioned in their annual reports. But it turned out to be much easier to fool the public than expected. All they had to do was convince people that global warming was a big liberal story to raise taxes and make Al Gore rich. That stopped enough people from looking at the facts that concern over global warming has been set back 10 years or more.
When the North Pole melts people will belive it's a natural cycle. When Antartica and Greenland melt and sea levels rise then people will pay attention. But by then the big executives will all be retired.

The term misconstruction was used by the Congress of 1791...as misconstruction is verifiable truth...the historical proof. This is what the judicial system is also guilty of, along with the act of representing the industries above us...it's citizens are the only ones with an individual vote. you may not group these votes together and cause misconstruction...you must bring the issue before the several States...to get the majority and concurring vote.
The US is required to allow it's citizens to assume the representation of voting every bill and issue in the Congress...as history has already proved"We the People", are proved...the innocent. Plus the emotionally intelligent ones...aware of our surroundings. Managers and perfecter's of perfect. Inventors.

I just want to say "thank you" to the oil companies that went to a lot of effort to provide me with fuel whenever and wherever I wanted it, so that I could make a good living, send my kids to school and retire with a modest retirement.

No con on this earth ever met a saudi prince oil mogul he would get on his knees or bend over for.

The picture of Villiage Idiot holding hands with Sheik 40 Wives as they walked into his tent so W could service him is the secret poster on every wall of every con. They whank to it.

They use heavy crude as lube. Dick Cheney says, "Oh please, King Faud, harder and faster, let me be your con beautch".

When you're dealing in parts per MILLION, there is no difference between 270ppm and 387ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere. It is statistically insignificant!

A 1% error factor would be 10,000 parts, so even the measurement taken would be suspect.

Report: Antarctic Ice Growing, Not Shrinking
          Saturday, April 18, 2009

Ice is expanding in much of Antarctica, contrary to the widespread public belief that global warming is melting the continental ice cap.

The results of ice-core drilling and sea ice monitoring indicate there is no large-scale melting of ice over most of Antarctica, although experts are concerned at ice losses on the continent's western coast.

Antarctica has 90 percent of the Earth's ice and 80 percent of its fresh water, The Australian reports. Extensive melting of Antarctic ice sheets would be required to raise sea levels substantially, and ice is melting in parts of west Antarctica. The destabilization of the Wilkins ice shelf generated international

East Antarctica is four times the size of west Antarctica and parts of it are cooling. The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research report prepared for last week's meeting of Antarctic Treaty nations in Washington noted the South Pole had shown "significant cooling in recent decades."

So it is all bullsh!t! only a dumbass liberal Moonbat treehugger would let our economic system collapse by trying to reduce our burning.
Making stuff more efficient is a waste of time; we will not be denied the crown joules.
Seeking alternatives is a commie plot.
The fact that the cost of energy has doubled is insignificant, and has no bearing on our financial situation. Our wars have had zero effect on the price of oil. There is only one thing liberals hate more than rich people, and that is the poor oil industry. The world record profits are completely insignificant, those guys work hard for the money and operate at lower margins.
Some day those dumbass libs will realize that the industry has their best interests in mind, and this silly populist concept will die.
Funny how poor WalMart, just keeps coming in second. Exxon beat it in profits and the Department of Defense beat it in number of employees.
Some day those dumbass libs will realize that what is good for Exxon, WalMart, and DOD is good for America!

fly - just because there may not be climate warming does NOT mean that we should continue to pollute the atmosphere.

              You can separate the two.

"There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth."
