Somali Pirates Form Unholy Alliance with Islamists »
Posted By israeligirl1 6 months, 2 weeks ago in NewsWarships have done little to deter Somalia's pirates. But now it seems that terror on the High Seas is making an unlikely alliance with Islamic terror inland. It's a terrifying alliance: The pirates supply money and arms, while the Islamists have troops and the power on land.

Sweet deal in that part of the world.
Reply
Has worked well for them for a long, long time.
I'm sure that when the US, and the other major powers that be, start to really pay attention to what is truly going on there, the 'Somali political scene' will change to meet the needs of the highest bidder. -

The Islamic nation has been robbing sea trade routes for years
Reply
and we are talking about billions of dollars paid out in cash
over the last 10 years. Now look at the skinny somali kids that are arrested for media sake. This is a well organized group of islamic terrorists that foothold in a poor islamic country, who protect the intrests of the terrorists who feed them and allow them to live. Gosh I wish people would grow up and start holding people, groups and nations responsible for their actions and partisipation. -

America made a horrific mistake to cut her naval power.
Reply
China has more naval vessels than the United states and Great Britain combined.
Project part of the 2012 General US Elections will in part, embrace stronger naval forces.
We are in no way suggesting return to being the policeman of the world. Only take the fog off your eyes and witness what happens when the UN is the supposed keeper of the Seas. -

What a shock ! The pirates are joining the terrorists ! Like they were never together in the first place. I don't know what planet democrats/liberals are living on but most everyone I talk to say enough is enough, it's time to step up the war on terror, not negotiate like the weasel dem/libs would prefer. Just looking at the recent suicide bombings in Iraq, a female terrorist detonates her vest while holding a little girls hand killing 50 or so people waiting for food and now the Taliban is on the rise in Pakistan which is scary with their nukes and Bin Laden waiting in the wings there. I say pull out of Iraq and bomb the **** out of Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Somalia, Syria and any other crap hole over there. We could make it the worlds largest landfill and our garbage problems would be takin care of. Please forgive me if I left out any crap hole countries !

And what planet were you living on when Bush had the Taliban ready to be taken out, but looking at this cancer he felt that if you cut it a little the rest would die.
That's what happens when you have a "decider" that doesn't understand the concept of regrowth of a disease without complete eradication.
Like his father before him, who walked away from the complete eradication of Saddam, waiting for the great overthrow of the tyrant, Dubiya did a ****-poor job. But stupid is how the GOP like their presidents.

Another thing as long as I'm still on. We should all be very worried that the Obama admistration is going to publish photos of prisoners from the war on terror, this after publishing our interrogation techniques. They are either insane or there is something else going on here. Do they think such moves will make us safer ? The only conclusion one could come to is it is being done on purpose as if they want the US to fall so we can join the happy one world club !

Lacking the ability to protect its merchant ships in the Mediterranean, the new America government tried to appease the Muslim slavers by agreeing to pay tribute and ransoms in order to retrieve seized American ships and buy the freedom of enslaved sailors.
Adams argued in favor of paying tribute as the cheapest way to get American commerce in the Mediterranean moving again. Jefferson was opposed. He believed there would be no end to the demands for tribute and wanted matters settled "through the medium of war." He proposed a league of trading nations to force an end to Muslim piracy.
In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain.
The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease.
During the meeting Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts.
In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners,
