In 2004 I e-mailed preseident@whitehouse.gov, and pleaded that we should drop the use of money, and use invoices instead...allowing us to be proficient...a requirement during war.

The message was confirmed, by the usual procedure of protocol...a return message to my in-box...received. The government is trying to get away from procedures such as the one I witnessed. If you really needed help...who would you call upon...I always sent two federal senators and a governor the same along with a president by just adding commas between the addresses...and in the subject line...I put who it was for...look at the conformations then...oh I did not leave out Chad Smith...the chief of the Cherokee...they have a branch in Washington that handles indian affairs. -
