Posted By fsev41 7 months, 1 week ago in NewsWASHINGTON — The CIA inspector general in 2004 found that there was no conclusive proof that waterboarding or other harsh interrogation techniques helped the Bush administration thwart any " specific imminent attacks," according to recently declassified Justice Department memos.

Yet another voice contradicts Cheney. Originally I tended to side with President Obama as far as looking forward and tackling the many problems other that torture which plague our country. The more I read about how much dissenting opinion the Bush administration received over the torture memos and the more Cheney criticizes Obama and apparently lies about the efficacy of torture the more I think Cheney is scared and is going to try and rationalize the push to torture or frame the debate in such a way that it appears to be a partisan attack on him and Bush. I'm now leaning more toward full prosecution. The issue is in no way a democratic or republican it's an American issue. It needs to be dealt with in that context.

Sometimes it's worth resisting past points of view which prompts the question..." How the hell did we get here."

The Bush administration just liked to torture people to "get away with it." If you look at all the people that helped it's evident they are "nutjobs" and don't hold the same American values as the rest of us.

That's why the Republican party is going down the toilet. -

We've had protection for seven years, and for this I am eternally grateful. We just had a big Easter get together, and everyone looked fine the grand, and great grand children looked fine their little hearts were beating right on,they had no burns,or scars. This is very important to me,their lives are far more valuable than this present regime I personally believe the next war will be fought here on American soil. The first attack on any school, and any child is killed,or maimed were not going to waste our time looking for these piles of dog dung with diapers on their heads,no were coming after the enablers who want to play kissy face with them.We will let it be known we don't want what the rest of the world puts up with.Terror is more than a nuisance,"John Kerry 04".

There is no evidence that anything the Bush Administration did has actually made us safer. But there is plenty of evidence that Bush left us with plenty of ill will around the world.

So please, spare the the bulls**t about how "we haven't been attacked on U.S. soil since 9/11." That just means we've been DAMN LUCKY!

the war was fought over there and not here, because of the
strong leadership of President Bush who never

I wish former Pres. Bush had another term.
That said, Pres. Obama's "legacy, however, will be shaped by the uncertain outcome in Iraq. It
may be a bright spot or a terrible stain."

Strong leadership? ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Too funny! Sounds like you actually forgot that we were attacked while Bush was President. You definately forgot that much of the misery Americans are feeling is a result of the lack of leadership of the former President. Oh, well. If being in denial keeps you from having a nervous breakdown, so be it.

I DO believe I'm a good American.
You see, I CARE about our NATION ... not like my fellow Right Wing Ideologues and Self-Loathing Haters.
THEY only care about their Ideology ... the Ideology of Torture, and Welfare for the Wealthy.

It matters not what the CIA says, the former administration along with your usual Republican pundits and other brain-washed minions, will continue to believe that the "liberal media" is responsible for anything contrary to the lies they choose to believe.

Cheney and others have missed out on an important lesson: When you lie, you must cover up that lie with another, then you have to remember the sequence of those lies. For some reason, "honesty being the best policy" just doesn't seem to resonate with Republican leadership. Character flaw, or sinful nature, the balls in your court.
