Well it's about time. I can't count how many times I have tripped over my dog in the dark.

I know there are folks who are ascared of tinkering with the genes a species, but there were folks who feared the ability to go faster than a horse could travel too. This isn't to say there is no risk, just as there is risk with moving faster than a horse, but the rewards can outweigh the risk. The risk of dying in an automobile does not stop most folks from driving.

One of the AOL comments below the story has a poster posing the not too well thought out point, "If God wanted glowing puppies He would have made them." Well, even if this scientist wasn't HIS way of making glowing puppies, HOW can a person be so blind to make such a point from a COMPUTER? After all if God wanted us talking online we would be born with keyboards and internet accounts.

I think this is incorrect. We should not be testing diseases on dogs. Especially ones that have impropper genes/cells. We need to leave cloning alone. It isnt getting us anywhere we need to be going, in the roll of science, and economics.
