Did you know that Michigan requires only two 100-level history courses to be certified to teach? Sam Wineburg gives a talk on the poor standards for history teachers in our schools. He argues for historians “to stop with the anti-textbook rhetoric,” and to stop testing teachers with multiple-choice tests.
