From the interview: "Torture is not wrong because there are laws against it; there are laws against it because it's just plain wrong. It's what we used to call 'intrinsic evil' in philosophy."

That's what we need to remember. Laws can be twisted by corrupt lawyers, but wrong remains wrong and "intrinsic evil" remains "intrinsic evil." Legalizing rape would still not make it a good thing. Different societies have different standards, but if we accept the standards of the lowest of the low, then we have to face the fact that we have become the lowest of the low.

The GOP is the party of sex offenders Larry Craig and Mark Foley, graft expert Ted Stevens, convicted dirty trickster and burglar G. Gordon Liddy, lobbyist and GOP bribery expert Jack Abramoff, etc., etc.

THE GOP IS ALSO the party that claims to have CHRISTIAN "FAMILY VALUES," but promoted the TORTURE OF PRISONERS, in violation of international law, according to THE INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS.

There are many sources for that fact. Here’s one:

REPUBLICANS: THE PARTY OF FAMILY VALUES, BANKER BAILOUTS, CONVICTED FELONS AND TORTURE!
