Miss California loses for supporting marriage between a man and woman »
Posted By ekklesiawarrior 6 months, 2 weeks ago in ReligionPerez Hilton asks Miss California what she thinks about legalizing gay marriage and she definitely does not give the politically correct answer.
There are DEFINITELY a lot of boos coming from the crowd followed by mixed applause, though it's hard to hear the boos in the recording.
This recording is owned by NBC.

"She should not have lost if that was the criteria. If her belief is that it is between a man and a woman, her belief should not be questioned."

Last time I checked, they're supposed to be representing America.
I, personally, don't want some bigot who wants to deny rights to someone else to represent America in any way. -

"When did it become wrong to have a belief and an opinion? Oh, sorry it's only a Christian and conservative opinion that is wrong."

--Ok...You cons are really giving me a migraine today. Look, she was not *asked* what her views on gay marriage were. That's where she stumbled. She was asked in essence if the *decision* to allow gay marriage should be left up to the states and if you consider the first part of her answer, it would appear that she DOES agree with that. She said she thought it was a great country we live in where people can choose (to support) gay marriage or hetero marriage. Right? Perhaps had she simply left it at that, she might have coasted through. But noooooooo...Helium head had to go on and talk about "her country" and how *she* was raised...blah blah... She was wrong to personalize her response that way because no one asked her what she thought of gay marriage in the first place. Geez... ;-(

"Why have a creepy little gnome like Perez Hilton judge a beauty contest? Who is this creepy little jerk anyway?"

"The question should not have been asked in the first place. It was inappropriate for the occasion."

The Miss America Pagent...seriously...we get debate about a certain question asked at the Miss America Pagent? And that becomes important? Shouldn't we be asking whether the Miss America Pagent is important at all before we jump into whether an answer has merit? It's never been proven to me that this contest or any of the other beauty contests aren't just that...beauty contests. And should we give credence to beauty contests. I say no. It sends the wrong message. If they're not beauty contests, then why hasn't a "big-boned" girl ever won?

If I were her I'd sue the pageant for discrimination. She clearly feels marriage is between a man and woman. That is her right. The judge was playing politics. If this is the place for it, fine. In this case, it was a pageant. By voting her down because of her stance on marriage clearly discriminates against her religious freedom. I'd go for a 7 figure settlement but be satisfied with a a couple million and his attending anger management.

--LMAO @ cons suddenly wanting to clog the courts with their ridiculous birth certificate verification cases, hopeless election result appeals, and now, phony discrimination cases. I thought cons hated the courts (and all those "activist judges") and didn't want to make lawyers rich...blah blah...Cons are a stitch. LOL
Just because this finger-counting loser didn't get the crown doesn't mean you can prove she was discriminated against. She can hate gay marriage all she wants. Her job was to answer one freaking question without swallowing her gum and smearing her lip gloss and she futzed it. Sad. -

"That question was asked for exactly what happened. That is for gays to attack those values of a christian."
Reply
--No, ranchy. There was no "right" or "wrong" answer to any of these questions. They were judged on how confidently, intelligently, and diplomatically they answered the question. She can be against gay marriage she just can't choke on her response. That's one of the criteria on which she's being judged. Cons need to stop embracing victim hood. It's disgraceful.

I personally think she lost because she was dumb as hell. I mean come on forget that the question was about gay marriage and just look at this statement. "I believe in Opposite marriage"... Who the hell ever called traditional marriage "Opposite marriage"???

She lost because she is a BIMBO. -

I saw a couple of interviews with her and she is definitely NOT a bimbo.

She was asked a politically charged question, gave an honest answer regarding her own beliefs, and has, so far, had the fortitude and courage to stand by that answer. She paid a price for her belief and doesn't regret it. What's wrong with that?
Sometimes I think we need more honesty and less political correctness.-

--She misinterpreted the question. She wasn't asked if she agreed with gay marriage. She was asked if states should make the determination. If you listen to the first part of her answer, it sounds as if she *does* agree with the leaving it up to individual states. -

Is there any proof she lost solely because of her answer?
Reply
"The question was not out of place. She answered it honestly and forthrightly. "
Really?
If someone was asked what they thought about the holocaust as a part of this pagent and they answered "the Holocaust never happened, it's a Zionist fairy tale" then of course you'd agree that she shouldn't lose because she's merely stating her belief. Yes?

She's a bigot for having that in her opinion marriage should be between a man and woman, just like she was raised.
You sound like the bigot, attacking her for having an opinion.
Damn, you're one of the militant nazi homosexual supporters trying to deny other people their rights.

There has been some, asked the same question...and they refused to answer...one in particular suddenly found himself roasted for "fill in the blank". A woman answers what she probably felt for herself...as she probably liked men...ajnd what happens? She's roasted for fill in the blank.

The funnt thing abut this...is bush started all this, trying to get a bill of right for marriage. Churches split..it really split this country up. Then he tried to get a bill of right to make it illegal to burn a flag...thay law!
First of all, it should have gone for a vote to the several States...this is the correct procedure set down by the Congress of 1791...the correct assent of the law.
Then we would have settled many issues that today plauge us. oh...I'd better give some more people credit for not knowing what proper is...all of Congress. -

From the drops and various comments, just ponder what will happen to the likes of Propeller, after CNN folds up and disappears.
The Almighty God judged the earth with a global flood when less
sexual displays of lust was made in the days of Noah. God Himself shut the door the door of the ark, and yes HE will do so again as His wrath falls.
Make no bones about it, the WEST of the 21st century dwell in a sick generation. Two men or two women may do as they wish behind closd doors, that is not our concern. What is our concern when they force their ways on children and couples that are one male and one female. that is not democracy, but madness.
