OMG .... I know this is off-topic ... and I know how upset Klarissa gets if I don't remain confined to Right Wing Talking Points when on these Obama-Hate threads .... but this is a GOOD thing.
Reply
I realized today that your constant whining about Liberal Media has cowed Mainstream Media to reject neutral reportage - and to bend over backwards to appease y'all!
And no better example can I give than NBC's The TODAY Show.
Many a morning, I've noted how every time a Right Wing Ranter brings out a new book, they are promoting it on The TODAY Show.
Tommy DeLay
Annie Coulter
Newt Gingrich
... whatever .... if there's a Angry Right Wing Ranter ... they will get their time slot on The TODAY Show.
I began to realize that there's NEVER been a Left Wing political commentator that has been interviewed.
Now, if I'm wrong, please enlighten me, because personally, I'd LIKE to believe that NBC has retained SOME semblance of integrity.
But it was just this morning .... as I watched Matt Lauer interview Newt Gingrich for his views on Obama .... for the second time in a WEEK. Some days ago, Matt interviewed Newt to have Newt explain how Obama's international state visits were a failure.
So, it finally sunk in, and I thought to myself: ...
"WOW ... The Right's Incessant Whining Campaign has actually WORKED! They've actually provided the cover that NBC needed to pursue their NATURAL agenda ... facilitating those who support big corporate media ... which is to say ALL Mainstream Media."
I've always felt one should give accolades when someone succeeds ....
So ....
Congratulations!
Your incessant whining has paid off.
Now, personally, I would feel someone embarrassed to have 'sullied my soul' with decades of whining ... pursuing an agenda that you knew was a lie .... just to give Right Wing Ideology the CHEAT of preferential treatment in media.
But hey! No one can say that Right Wing Ideologues are 'overly honest' ... or ... 'favor truth over Ideology' ... right?
It's all about proving how much y'all hate government ... and how much y'all hate government spending.
Of course, you don't hate ALL government ... you LOVE the Military ... even though it's the MILITARY that consumes so much of our national treasury.
And we all know how you Right Wing Ideologues LOVE to shove money at the Military! The Right Wing Philosophy is to shove as much money at the military as possible ... if there's a problem ... y'all believe the ONLY way it can be fixed ... is to shove MORE money at it!
Fortunately, (for your own agenda) ... y'all have no concept of hypocrisy and contradiction.
And it's these qualities that have enabled you to twist truth to fit your agenda ... and give you the balls to whine about media being biased .... as you create biased media.
There ... now don't ever say that I don't give y'all a pat on the back once in awhile.

Doctor shortage confounds Obama’s socialization plans for health care
http://hotair.com/archives/2009/04/28/doctor-short...
Barack Obama’s plans to nationalize the health-care industry has run into one major snag — a lack of doctors. Shortages in both primary-care and specialist physicians has made it more difficult for Medicare patients to get care, but thus far, the administration has drawn the wrong lessons from the crisis. They’re offering the hair of the dog as a solution: -

0bama is becoming a bad joke. Letting the boys from the hood buzz NY in his jet. Traveling everywhere like a teenager that just got his drivers license. He has the sense of direction of an exploding hand gernade. I wonder if he is even aware that he needs to appoint a Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Obama Worship Goes Into Overdrive as 100-Day Mark Approaches
You're not seeing things and it is not a spoof picture from The Onion or any other satirical website. The image you see to the right is a painting by artist Michael D'Antuono called "The Truth" that will be officially unveiled at Union Square in New York City on April 29 to mark President Barack Obama's hundreth day in office. Here are the details from the official press release:
The 30" x 54" acrylic painting on canvas depicts President Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross; atop his head, a crown of thorns. Behind him, the dark veil being lifted (or lowered) on the Presidential Seal. But is he revealing or concealing and is he being crucified or glorified?

"since there is a CRISIS the HH sec was voted in. What good that will do? only if she doesn't interfere with the woman who was acting in charge."
Reply
She was voted in because she was voted in. If some Repugnant Cons voted her in because there's a crisis, then your issue should be with them.
As for the woman acting in charge being in charge, Sibelius has been getting all the neccesary updates, data and info about the Flu outbreak since it started. I'd rather have someone who has a CLUE about public health running things than some jackass number-cruncher that Bush appointed who has no experience with public health.

Thankfully at the moment swine flu doesn't appear to be a pandemic. What this does point out though is if this was something like smallpox coming from Mexico the US would be in big trouble. We need to be able to control our borders what is there about this that Washington can't understand?

Apparently none of the world understands becasue every single expert says ' controlling the borders' wouldn't have made a speck of difference.

How Bush Prepared for the Outbreak
Tools developed in the last few years will help the Obama administration fight back.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124087436467761251...
Swine flu has presented the Obama administration with its first major public-health crisis. Fortunately for the Obama team, the Bush administration developed new tools that will prove critical in meeting this challenge.
Under President Bush, the federal government worked with manufacturers to accelerate vaccine development, stockpiled crucial antivirals like Tamiflu, war-gamed pandemic scenarios with senior officials, and increased the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) sample identification capabilities. These activities are bearing fruit today.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has already deployed 12.5 million courses of antivirals -- out of a total of 50 million -- to states and local agencies. In addition, CDC's new capacities have allowed Mexican officials to send flu samples to CDC for quick identification, a capability that did not exist a few years ago. Collaboration between the government and the private sector on vaccines -- which Mr. Bush and his HHS team actively encouraged -- could potentially allow manufacturers to shepherd a vaccine to market within four months of identifying the strain and getting the go-ahead from CDC or the World Health Organization.
Another issue: Under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act of 2006, the government has the authority to issue "Prep Act Declarations" granting liability protection to manufacturers whose products were used in public-health emergencies. This helps encourage manufacturers to develop countermeasures
The author Mr. Troy, deputy secretary of Health and Human Services from 2007 to 2009, is a visiting senior fellow at the Hudson Institute. -

Better to say Thank God for SARS, because that's what made Bush act. Interestingly enough, though, the GOP cut spending on pandemic preparedness out of the last budget they voted on.
