CRTC threatens future of broadcasting, CTV says »

I find this story interesting because of the goal of the corporation - money, particularly in these economic times... So, if they are over legislated and the corporations are unable to earn enough money to justify their existence, one of 2 things will happen, based on the actual need for the service: 1. They will stop and the people will take over, 2. We will not have this service... I cannot see how this will be driven by money - or not, any longer.

"Canadian broadcasters need to find new ways to make money if they are to continue to offer popular, quality programming as well as local and national news, says CTVglobemedia Inc. president Ivan Fecan.
