I don't believe I've ever heard of Dick Cheney trying to intimidate reporters by threatening law suits. This really isn't the same thing not at all. What is being discussed in the article is campaign donations to Obama made by a foreigner. That's illegal in the United States or it used to be before the Era of Anything Goes If It's Obama.

According to testimony at Rezko’s trial, Obama met Auchi at an April 3, 2004 event at Rezko’s home during Obama’s 2004 US Senate campaign. The Times of London reports discovering, “state documents in Illinois recording that Fintrade Services, a Panamanian company, lent money to Mr. Obama’s fundraiser in May 2005.” Fintrade directors, according to The Times “include Ibtisam Auchi, the name of Mr. Auchi’s wife”."-

Yes, the British press is always so reliable! I if they are worried about a libel suit this really must be garbage. Go to The Sun or any British rag other than the Times and you will see little but scandalous headlines.

And to say this has been little investigated is laughable. You act as if the Right is helpless, unheard in this country. Perhaps it is the dearth of legitimate reporters on your side that is the issue. You know, those who haven't completely been discredited or who call themselves "entertainers" when asked to back up their Orwellian "facts". I mean are Limbaugh, Hannity, Rove, Beck, Malkin and Coulter credible anywhere but the fringe? Are they even journalists in a truthful sense?

Has Obama pardoned him? Has Obama had anything to do with trying to overturn conviction? Has Rezko visited the whitehouse? When was the last time Obama saw Rezko? What connection is there between Rezko and Obama other than the one in the story? I shook hands with a guy once that went to jail. Am I in danger? what a crock!!-
