Rep. Bachmann Hints that Democrats Are Behind the Swine Flu »
Posted By capj71 8 months ago in NewsRep. Michelle Bachmann called it an “interesting coincidence” that the United States is dealing with another outbreak of the swine flu, because, according to her the last one occurred under a Democratic president, which it didn’t, unless Gerald Ford was a Democrat.

She is not "dumb", she is a sect member. She shows the typical characteristic of denying reality to keep the "ideology" of the sect alive when reality intervenes. She also shows the typical sect characteristics of loud insistence that her "reality" is the only valid reality and of aggression towards those who do not belong to the sect.

That wouldn't surprise me at all. W/some of the stupid, moronic stunts the nazi liberals have pulled it would be par for the course. The swine flu is probably caused by the appalling arrogance, snobbery and stupidity of the liberals. Perhaps the liberals should change from the elephant to the pig. That would be very fitting I think.

Just like MILLIONS of Democrats insisted that Bush was behind the 9/11 attacks. Now the Republicans are saying Obama is behind this very unnatural (it's the wrong season and the type of strain that it is) swine flue pandemic. So, tell me there Democrats, how do you like it. How do you like it that people will now start saying this swine flu outbreak is a Democrat OBAMA CONSPIRACY?

All the scientists I've heard speak about it say it's a part of the natural process of flu and virus changes. The only people talking about it being a mysterious, unnatural thing are right-wing conspiracy nutjobs who are usualy no better educated than at a HS level at best. -

Um, hard-core 'truthers' constitute a bare fraction of the nation. What is undeniable is that Bush had intelligence in his hands that al Qaeda was planning to fly aircraft into buildings. I don't think he wanted attacks to happen, I think he just didn't take the threat seriously.
Now, if Obama had been informed of the outbreaks by the WHO and scoffed, then you might have a point. As it stands, "...the government has 50 million doses of Tamiflu and Relenza, the two drugs that can treat the current swine flu virus, on hand and will soon move 25 percent -- or 12.5 million doses -- to states with confirmed cases of the disease."

Truth requires the account of historical truth...and the historical uses time to prove...when you are able to predict...it is usually due to recognizing the historical...and this act is something i applaud in the Congress...as it truthfully shows a a sign someone might be successful in managing or governing.

Bachmann could have been dropped several times on her head when she was a baby to account for her insanity and getting her facts wrong. But I don't fault her in the least for becoming a Representative. I fault the stupid people who voted her to the office she holds. Must be the same ones who voted twice for Bush.

I wonder if Michell PsychoBachman voted against Sabilius as Health Secretary to head the CDC, because she secretely yearns for the rapture.

Dogmatic pretty and stupid as a doorknob does not a good representative make, but I hope she keeps pouring the idiocy out of her pie hole, she just reflects perfectly the complete moral cowardice and superstitious ignorance of the party of cons. -

This is what Rep Michelle Bachmann also believes:
Reply
Michelle Bachmann compares gays to pedophiles on hate crimes bill (she has a step sister that is lesbian, doesn't see here and has disowned some of her family for supporting the step sister. This is not surprising given her husbands 'Christian' counseling practice that specializes in gender identity issues.) The Minnesota Independent.
Bachmann Blames FDR for effects of Hoot-Smalley' tariffs The Minnesota Independent
Dirt Money MN Teen Challenge returned Bachmann's contribution (it was during the campaign before she won re election and good Christian woman she is she didn't tell the FEC till three months later.) The Minnesota Independent
Bachmann leads political money chase The Minnesota Independent
OF all of the headlines that Michelle is in the one that is most telling is "Michelle Bachmann compares gays to pedophiles on hate crimes bill"
She has also taken ear marks when she has said she didn't. Also is msquoted an MIT professor regarding how much engery costs will increase per family under President Obama's plan. Why is that important? Well she's been apponted to a GOP energy group (it's also on The Minnesota Independent. Type in Bachmann in the search bar and it's amazing what can find out about what she's been doing.)
Also very important is "Bachmann Watch" a site devoted to fact checking Michelle's mis statements including the six most recent ones. (She is using that site to fundraise.)
Here's one that's even scarier. Bachmann fears ID cards for prolifers (4/24/09); Also on 4/24/09 she was accused on the House floor of making things up regarding climate science.
I wanted to see if she's done anything besides stick her foot in her mouth when she opesn its. Yup she has. Though ethically wise it's very questionable. Especially being the Christian she claims to be.
Looking at the last month I'd say she didn't just swallow her foot, she swallowed both legs. -

And we will see how he responds if the outbreak worsens into a national crisis.
Reply
I didn't blame Bush for Katrina, I blamed him (and many others) for the pathetic response to it. As I understand it, Obama, who receives briefings several times a day, has asked Congress for $1.5 billion to fight the outbreak and alerted parents to prepare for possible school closures, but has otherwise left the matter in the hands of the CDC. -

Just amazing how people think natural occurances like this have a politcal agenda when they happen. Stuff happens and doesn't wait until a "president" or anyone else is in an office of power. So guess what I won't care who's watch it was, because no one has control over this or anything else that is a natural event.

The cases of the virus in New York arose among a group of AMERICAN students who had traveled to Mexico on Spring Vacation, and returned bringing the virus back with them.
The one fatality thus far in the US was a 23-month-old toddler who had been brought here by the parents for treatment (so far as I know quite "legally" --- but who could condemn them even if that WEREN'T the case?).
"Fusion" flu virus strains that cross over interspecies barriers arise by happenstance. The "Hong Kong Flu" of a few years back was eventually traced to a chance FUSION of two strains that occurred in a remote village where poor people lived in close proximity with both their PIGS and their DUCKS. Some poor pig happened to come to be SIMULTANEOUSLY infected by a flu virus strain that could infect both ducks and pigs (but not humans) and ALSO by another flu virus strain which could infect both pigs and humans (but was relatively mild in humans). But when the TWO DIFFERENT viral strains GOT TOGETHER in this particular pig, a new CHIMERA strain arose that then in effect carried the DUCK viral strain OVER to the humans --- who had no immunity to that NEW immunological challenge. Lots of people DIED, before increasing immunity came to gradually be developed (partly by natural selection, and partly by work to scientifically develop a vaccine as quickly as possible).
Efforts to develop a vaccine for this NEW viral strain are now ALREADY underway --- but it will take MONTHS before that can be achieved. In the meantime, we are going to have to fall back to more PRIMITIVE-strategy tactics of INFECTION AVOIDANCE.
It does NOT particularly help to have ideological idiots of the "political" sort seeking to "make hay" among folks who may be basically IGNORANT of the mechanics of infectious diseases. Indeed, such people may do EVEN FURTHER HARM if by preying on the ignorance of the foolish in order to incite "political" reaction they end up diverting energies and resources AWAY from efforts to deal with the ACTUAL problem! -

No conspiracies or partisan politics to understand swine or avian flu. Factory farms where pigs are kept weak, pumped with chemicals (including antibiotics) and in digustingly close proximity are dandy petri dishes for new porcine illnesses, and proximity to human employees affords the opportunity for the wierd and opportunistic bugs thus spawned to jump the species barrier. No different for the avian flu and factory poultry farms.
