Is Obesity Epidemic Slowing Down in America? »

Posted By WikiMap 7 months, 2 weeks ago in News

We are fat in America. But we know that. My clothes don’t fit. I can’t wear a belt anymore; they don’t make them that big. And as the husband tell his wife: “No dear, that dress doesn’t make your butt look big. It’s all the éclairs, chocolate and cakes you eat.” Well the government says we aren’t getting fat as fast as we used too.

The rate of increased obesity has slowed ...

And no wonder, most everyone is fat already.

Sure sign of the conditions that surround us...society need not be called a disfunctional one...or even with crime. This government demands money be traded among us...that's the problem. Before I would make any judgement call on being fat or slim...I would ask first, are you happy?

Relative to average wage food is very inexpensive compared to what we paid in earlier times. We don't eat because we have to, we eat because we can. My dog is overweight because he begs when I'm eating and I give him some, so does my wife and daughters. He doesn't do this because he has to, he does it because he can. We need to practice a little self control, I try but it's not easy, not easy like eating.

Americans have opted to view food in terms of convenience rather than health - as we go about our daily lives whatever food is most convenient is chosen - fast food, canned, frozen, microwaveable, delivery, etc.. This food is almost always the unhealthiest - loaded with saturated fat, cholesterol, and refined carbohydrates. We have to change the way we view food from convenience to health and make it a priority to take more time our day to plan for and prepare healthy food

It's too easy and too stupid to blame it on junk food and soda.

Go to the fast food restaurant. Most of the workers there eat two meals of whatever it is there per day. Why are all of the customers the fat ones?

Huge trips to the super big grocery store - take one HUGE trip every two weeks - that way you can sit on your butt for longer. Buy more than you need, for sure.

Use your car... a lot. Get the parking space as close to the door as you can. Maybe spend an hour and a half everyday driving to work. Sure beats taking a walk or going to sport or a gym.
