Frankly, cutting Flickr team is a bit of a head scratcher: that group is one of the few pockets of future-thinking tinkerers at Yahoo, especially when it comes to building new media experiences around “social objects” such as photos.

I did not know that there were a lot of people employed as a part of Flickr. Don't people upload their own photos there? How many people do you really need to run a photo sharing service?
