Absolutely. I've thought this many times myself. That's why I like to study many sources and explanations before reaching a conclusion. You can imagine, for instance, how difficult it is for me as I study Catholicism. The majority of readily available material is from Protestants heavily biased against Catholicism or Catholics heavily biased against Protestants. I don't know that I'll ever find something completely non-biased, as the bias is simply human nature.
And, of course, as both of you said, we have to receive revelation from the Holy Spirit. I think to do that requires an earnest desire to know the truth, and it also requires perseverance and a lot of prayer.
By no means is this article the definitive answer to the question of the Rapture, but it's a start, and I think it makes valid points. I suppose the next step is to dig even deeper and see what I find.
