Certainly some odd ads there, but the one that's really an eye-catcher is the Pakistan Airlines ad. Having the silhouette of a plane across both towers of the World Trade Center 22 years before 2001 is eerie!

The corporal punishment ad, of the man spanking his wife...very odd to see that.
And women...do you really love smoke blown in your face? LOL...did ad agency research prove that? Ha!
And the poor hygiene ad...funny, yet sad to think people thought that way... -

I collect old 1940's, 1950's and 1960's magazines like McCalls, Good Housekeeping, Ladies Home Journal etc. and they are full of "creepy" ads.

In particular the genre of the housewife absolutely orgasmic over her new blender or toaster always stands out.
Although the pig slicing himself here may be a winner. -

The one about feminine hygiene wins the award for creepiness in my book. If you take the time to read the fine print, its pretty awful. Blatantly sexist and utterly lacking in tact, discretion, or good taste. Its odd because we tend to think that people were more polite or civil in those days, but it depends by what yardstick you measure this. One thing that it does demonstrate, however, is that we have made some social progress in the last fifty years. Although some would argue that we have gone backwards as well.

It might be an interesting idea to have an awards show for the worst and creepiest ads and movies. Sort of the antithesis of the Academy Awards. Except who would show up to receive their plastic statue of shame? -
