    Republicans in 2000:

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Time to get on with business. Gore, you lost give up!

Remember it was Gore, not Bush who took legal action.

Yes let's hope the supreme court knocks Coleman out, also, eh?

we know that more people voted for gore than bush in florida. so, just like how gore should have been awarded the presidency, then i believe whomever has more votes in minnesota should be awarded the senate seat as well.

all this talk that coleman should give up assumes that we already know what happened.

it's like watching rabid football fans crying foul from their armchairs at the referee for making a call against our "team." coincidentally, we are always victimized by the ref. both teams remain loyal and true no matter what. clouded by a "team-think," we aren't capable of reviewing the play no matter how many different camera angles.

An interesting observation is that Coleman, early in the counting and with a slim lead said that Franken should give in and LET THE STATE HEAL ITS WOUNDS.

Also of interest is the fact that the counting in OHIO in 2006 presidential election was at best questionable. Those that were insistent on a recount was subject to arrest. That was behind the recall of federal judges that knew that the constitution would not support such an action and were therefore subject to dismissal.

And btw, it was the GOP that brought the decision to the Supreme court, tadair919.
Members of the Supreme Court such as Scalia should have recuse himself, being hunting buddy with Cheney.

"It was the GOP that brought the decision to the Supreme court,"

I see. So when Gore brought his case before Florida that is acceptable. But if Bush appeals to the Supreme Court then that isn't.

Gore made a mistake in that election. If he would have taken Bush's offer to recount the whole state he would have won the election. Gore only wanted to count the counties that he thought he won. Though I'm not happy with the outcome of the election, it was more Gore's fault that he lost than Bush's.

                tchef,

                this is very similar.

coleman is asking to either count all the absentee ballots in minnesota that don't have signatures, or reject all the absentee ballots in minnesota that don't have signatures.

he is saying you can't have it both ways. he is taking the proper legal recourse by asking for a ruling on absantee ballots that don't have signatures. because right now more counties that tend to lean left are allowing it to count than the other counties. you see?

                do you see the dilemma?

look. im not trying to antagonize anyone. i'm just noticing that the roles between the election fiasco in 2000 have reversed. suddenly it is the people on the left who are demanding that coleman is the one trying to steal the election. we are no different in our bias, right or left. we are equally stupid. this thread demonstrates that.

I hope the supreme court knocks whomever has the least votes out.
