The most distant cosmic explosion ever recorded would have made a fascinating target for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), according to scientists now building the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope.

      It's hard to imagine something even better than the Hubble, considering all the amazing things it has revealed to us. I can't wait to see what its successor finds out there.

        If we can already detect a huge star going super nova at 13 million light years,as happened this week,this or it's successor, will show us very close to the big bang.The Universe is reckoned to be 13.7 billion light years,in each and every direction.The only reason why we couldn't see the actual big bang begin,is that the explosion,started at a point far smaller than an atom,or so it is supposed.
        Amazing telescope this will be and it will show us miracle not yet dreamed of.
