AP - A Jewish university professor accused of anti-Semitism for comparing Israel's treatment of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to the Holocaust says he's received hundreds of messages of support and a bombardment of hate mail.

No. He's just paying attention to the facts and reality of how Israel is treating Gaza. It's not far off from a walled ghetto. Anyone who's read the history and facts surrounding Nazi Germany and the ghettos can see the simliarities. But that would require being honest about the facts of the situation instead of having a knee-jerk "ISRAEL FIRST AND ALWAYS!" reaction.

Honest jews condemned zionism over a century ago because they knew it involved exactly the kind of ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity that zionists like Sharon have practiced for many decades. It is time for Americans to cut Israel off without another cent and join the rest of the world in imposing sanctions.

God doesn't play favorites. We are all children of God. Why should He/She favor the Jews above all others? The Egyptians had the concept of one God when the Hebrews were still worshiping Abraham's household gods. The Egyptians also had the concept of a resurrection long before the Hebrews did. Which is why for 3,000 years they took care to mummify the bodies of the dead and built the most impressive structures ever known. If you must quote the Bible, then quote the New Testament where Jesus and the disciples have said that the Jews are cast off because they rejected Jesus. Today's Jews are the same Pharisees that hated Jesus and set out to destroy him. Especially those in Israel.

Can you tell ZNet, please, what your new book, "The ethnic cleansing of Palestine" is about? What is it trying to communicate?
The book tries to show that in 1948, the Zionist movement waged a war against the Palestinain people in order to implement its long term plans of ethnic cleansing (whereas Israeli historians, including 'new historians', claimed that the war was waged by the Arab world against the state of Israel in order to eliminate it and it resulted in expulsions of Palestinians). The Arab world tried to prevent this cleansing, but was too fragmented, self-centered and ineffective to stop the uprooting of half of Palestine's native population, the destruction of half of its villages and towns and the killing of thousands of its people.
And since that ethnic cleansing was successfully implemented in almost 80% of Palestine without any global or regional repercussions - the ethnic cleansing policy continues ever since 1967 in the remaining 20% of the country. Creating a Jewish state in historical Palestine cleansed of Palestinians is still the ideolgoical infrastructure on which the state of Israel is based. How to achieve this goal is a divisive issue between Left Zionists - hoping to negotiate a settlement that would leave a small number of Palestinains in a greater Israel and the Right Zionsts willing to implement a more direct cleasning policy from the same area even today.
The book uses the accepted scholarly definition of Ethnic Cleansing to show its academic as well legal applicability to the case of Palestine and argues that since in the eyes of the world - including the State Department and the UN - ethnic cleansing is a crime against humanity, this how we should view the Israeli actions in the past and ISrael's policies in the present.....

Every time I have seen a Jew take a stand against Zionism they have been portrayed as the worst criminal possible by the Zionists. There are many Jews who are not Zionists and who are not racial supremicists but it is very difficult for them to speak up.

Zionism is a Jewish nationalistic movement declaring that the Jews, like any other ethnic group of people, have a right fr self-determination. Anti-Zionism, therefore, is declaration that, UNLIKE other groups of people, the Jews DO NOT have a right for self-determination. A "stand against Zionism" is a demand for destruction of a sovereign state. Such call is considered to be a crime (High Treason) in ANY state. In many states it is punished by death, especially during a war.

Israel has no intention of ever having "peace" with the Palestinians, which is why they continue to abuse them at every opportunity and keep a million and a half behind barbed wire and fences and not allow them to rebuild or to have even the necessities of life such as water, soap, toilet paper, food, and medical supplies. it's why they wantonly killed 1400 of them--around 1/3 of those killed were children. It's why they continue to build settlements on the West Bank on Palestinian land, while prattling endlessly of the "peace process." Gr********* of fire! If Israel really wanted peace, they could have had it years ago by just treating the Palestinians like human beings. But you see, according to the Jewish Talmud, only Jews have souls. That's right. The rest of us have the souls of animals. We're sub-human and fit only to be the slaves of those wonderful "chosen people" as they like to call themselves. It's Jewish supremacy, folks. All the rest of you are dogs, cows, sheep. (Sheep I think for buying into this propaganda.) What kind of a god would create all of us and only love one small group? Never did make sense to me, but then I was not raised as a Jew. Right now the big thing is to drive all the Palestinians out of Jerusalem and to make it totally Jewish.

Israel defines itself as a Jewish state, of, for, by Jews only.
In Israel:
It is forbidden for a Jew to marry a non-Jew.
It is forbidden to try to convert a Jew to another religion and will get you a jail term.
You can't even give a Jew a gift--they view this as trying to bribe the Jew to convert to your religion if you have one.
All non-Jews in Israel are 2nd class citizens.
The West Bank is riddled with check points--not surrounding the Palestinian lands, but in the Palestinian towns so that you cannot go from one town to another without passing through an Israeli "checkpoint." These checkpoints are closed from 7 p.m. till 7. a.m. and God help you if you need to get to a doctor or somewhere during the night--they will not bend the rules for any emergency. Countless Palestinians have died because they could not get through these military checkpoints.
I could say more--but I hope a few open minds will have a picture of what it must be like to live under the rule of "the Chosen Ones." Hell on Earth.
