Surfer dude is a story about a surfer who returns to his home town. His stay is however disrupted by a reality TV show and a complete lack of waves. It’s a story you’ve probably not seen before. But is Surfer dude a movie you’ll want to see?
Surfer dude is your typical surfer movie. It has a weak story, and it’s only special effect is showing unrealistic fit bodies with the typical characters. You have the weird guy, a small Mexican kid and a smooth business man who always gets what he wants. These characters don’t go really deep but luckily the great acting performance of most of the cast makes them believable, so you probably won’t feel disturbed by the shallowness of the characters. Especially lead actor Matthew McConaughey puts in a solid performance as the “weird” likeable surfer dude.
