Another Democrat goes down in flames. This after the liberals crowed about some Republicans before the election. Lately it has been all Democrats with major problems. More than the Republicans ever had.

Trying to tie the bad eggs in a party to smear the party is not really acceptable. There are bad people in all places and smearing the whole of any group for the actions of individuals is just a way to try and discredit the whole group in a dishonest way. Things like this seem to go in cycles.-

As a former John Edwards supporter,
Reply
my wish is for him to be objectively investigated,
justly tried,
fairly convicted,
humanely executed,
- and damned to eternal torment in a manner approprate to
the Geneva convention and Dante.
He lied, not just to his sick wife;
but to a nation sick of lies.-

I agree. I too was an Edwards supporter. I did phone calling for him during his campaign and was a precinct captain for him during the Nevada caucus. Not only did he lie to us, he knew the National Enquirer knew about his affair and that it was going to get out. I don't care about his love life but there was too much at stake here. What if he had won the nomination and we found out about this afterward? We would now have President McCain. I can no longer support him. Let the chips fall where they may.

This is equally disturbing and sad! It's disturbing to think how close Mr. Edwards came to occupying the White House...imagine the spin the hypocritical neocons and repugnicons at their finest would put on that!!

It is also sad to see someone with so much going for them succomb so deeply to a character flaw that he has ruined his marriage and his reputation! He makes me think of Samson in the Bible...had it all going for him, and blew it over a trollop! What a shame! I imagine the stress and strain of what is happening on the homefront along with the grueling pace of campaigning proved too much for him. I am truly sad for him and glad for the country that his folly has been exposed prior to him reaching the zenith of national leadership.
As for the gloating neocons and sanctimonious repugnicons - STFU and clean up your own mess!
