Faith is the belief that one will be delivered or protected by God. That God's will, will be done.
To torure is to deny ones beliefs that God created all human beings in his image. It is to deny God, His right to deal with all as He will.
Jesus Christ was tortured and beaten then hung on the cross to die. If that is not a picture of the evilness of torture, what is ??? He was innocent and free of guilt, yet there were some who believed He was guilty.
Man tortures because those who do it are deceived by the evil one. Tortue is the work of the devil not God.
