Hey, HOUSEMD , Obama does not appoint the member of the senate committees. That is done by each political party. The reason Specter lost his seat on the committee is because he switched parties and the REPUBLICANS replaced him with another Republican. What a dope. LMAO
Specter has voted the way he feels and will continue to do so. I've always had respect for him because he is his own man and yes he was against the torture methods used by the Bush administration and stated: “I voted against water boarding. It's torture. And I took the lead to the Senate floor in fighting for habeas corpus. And I opposed President Bush's signing statements. So I have no hesitancy to stand up on those issues.
