Comments for Not-so-Perfect Shoe Size? »
Posted By WandaWidth 7 months, 3 weeks ago in StyleI have started this blog to help customers who have a narrow or wide foot find shoes. I have been in the shoe industry for over 13 years. I do not go a day without a customer asking me “ Does this shoe come in wide or narrow?” Most of the time I tell the customer unfortunately they do not. I can list the vendors by heart that we carrry that come in Narrows. The narrow vendors in the store I worked in were VanEli, Sesto Meucci, Cole Haan, Donald Pliner, Soft Style, Soft Spots, Sofft, Easy Spirit, and Calvin Klein. Wides on the other hand would only be Easy Spirit, Naturalizer and Hush Puppies. I would also explain that they might have luck with the “ Euro Comfort” shoes like, Merrell, Clarks, Born, Mephisto, Dansko and Earth shoes. Those shoe vendors tend to run wider and have a bigger toe box area.
The internet has so much more to offer the wide and narrow shoe customer. Some sites offer free shipping and free returns.
The one thing that I do recommend that all narrow shoe customers have is a gel FULL shoe pad. This helps to take up that little extra space that is needed for your narrow foot and push your foot back to grip the heel!! These pads can be found at your local pharmacy, grocery or other stores.
